I was complaining today about how hot it was.... Nothing compared to what the soldiers in Iraq are experiencing.... so guess I will just suck it up and quit complaining...... God Bless the troops for all that you endure on a daily basis! Stay safe!

but when we put it in proper perspective,
 and think of what others are going through
then we appreciate our lives that much more.

 & some of the Vets came on & were really appreciative
however i know that it has to be extremely tough for you all

sadly, no, this is not a vacation. I am here attending the 30 day ceremony of the death of my father in law. I am also bringing Nicole to her father's to live for the next year. This new surrogacy is draining me. 3rd attempt, no pregnancy. And with no additional source of income because of my hours of being a single parent with no family or friends to help out, no other source of income is available yet.
However, prospects are looking good for when I come home. And with that, MAY OUR TROOPS COME HOME SAFELY TOO! |

Hey Vanessa, how are you doing???? We are all fine, finally stopped raining LOL... Hello My Faithful Friend Sherry! With all that has been going on in the other threads, this place here, is a real sanctuary and i appreciate my true friends even more... I am up in the middle of the night hurting for a bunch of reasons... My uncle Russ ~ an awesome,kind, loving, gentle, wonderful Man of God, loyal faithful husband and family man... as you probably recall , passed away last month, & even though he was getting up there ... about 84 , his passing was & is really emotional for me.. Well, his wife of 60 something years , Aunt Louise ...fell just recently and they found that she had hit her head and is bleeding in her brain & they say that it just does not look good... so, we have been very upset about her and it is extra bad when i am 800 miles south ... My Mother is very upset, cause Louise was left alone, at home, after Russ passed away , and she is on a pacemaker, and in very frail condition, as it is... My own Mom's condition is also bad, and she did more than she could to help Louise recently ... I have had some lovely conversations on the phone with Louise just recently and read to her the tribute i wrote for Russ and she loved it... Mom said that Russ appeared to Louise in the spirit, at least twice since he has been gone, and our Pastor said that perhaps Russ needs her, and that is why God is calling her home, which is soo beautiful, but soo soo sad too ... 
Besides that ... we have had at least 800 isolated fires here in Northern California due to lightning storms... the valley here, has been smokey for days,
we surely need rain very very bad, but no more lightning ... and the sun has been just a fiery glowing orange-y red ball the past week or so ...
