People have no Idea the hell we go through after getting home. The VA telling you the vomiting is in your head. The headaches from a EOD blast and a fractured skull arent real. The bad dreams and terrible night sweats are nothing either. Heres some bus-par and Prozac... Youll feel better. No you just sleep. In case you dont know ibpro fixes everything! Just telling you what the VA is gonna tell you. The reality of it is you are sick. The spect scan on the outside showes decreased blood level in the brain. MRI on back shows chronic degenerative disc disease. The 9 broken bones all set wrong. Then you take this evidence to the VA and the head of neurology tells you he doesnt want to see the papers and he isnt gonna argue with you. I did Finally get my 100%. after 10 years of fighting. Now the best part. Trying to find a female to deal with your moody self. Yes life is grand.

You know what dude, Why are you writing and bragging about how your an ex-specops. A real specops never seeks prasie for the the job he volunteered for! Not even specops soldiers from other countries! It's very hard to believe, that the with value that is placed on a specops soldier no matter what branch, that you would be kicked to the curb!

big time good luck. lol. escpecially if you were combat arms, lol. some states dont want us.

I wince when I hear service members say this because as much as I don't want to say it is so I know it often feels that way and is to some extent. Please know that there are people who do want you home and in their neighborhoods, churches, and as co-workers. Best of Luck and a peaceful future.

Whoa there. You might want to believe that in America where we say all the right things about respecting and supporting our troops and the families that follow them it is pretty pitiful what is put into practice. A service member has value just as long as he can go to duty. When he can't well things change a lot. Disabled he is frozen in time as far as his economic status. and often with out some of the in service perks it is radically worse. If you do not believe me then look around and show me where the job transition services are. Show me where the accessible houseing is for disabled veterans. Show me where they are building new not just patching facilities that should be concemned for medical care and counseling. Show me where the colleges and trade schools have programs for veterans to assimilate. Some don't even want military member's on campus and other places in uniform without a parade permit. We care about our veterans why aren't builder's required to build at least a minimum number of affordable homes and banks required to accept VA loans. Show me where a young soldier is given card blanc to bury himself in credit debt but he isn't given grace if he actually lives long enough not to collect his death benifit and pay off. Show me how a multiply handicapped service member is going to find and aid an attendant when the state doesn't even pay caregiver's a living wage. Show me where profoundly disabled veteran's are getting quality skilled nurseing care. Shame on America because it isn't happening no matter what you want to believe.

Whatever dude, your obligation is 8 years total when you sign the contract! 4 years active and 4 years inactive where you recalled at any time!

Now your saying 8 years and just a few post ago you said 10 years.

I'm just saying, your story doesn't add up. I'm very familiar with specops in the Military. I also know a real specops soldier wouldn't carry on this way.

I am a Veteran and I've had no problems receiving any benefits from the VA. I wasn't welcomed everywhere with open arms, but most of those people weren't veterans themselves and their negative opinions just don't count in my book! The VA is a little slow sometimes, but you do eventually get what you are entitled.

Got a few more soldiers coming home, Rapunzel!

Also, remember my soldier that came home a while back and broke my heart twice? He is asking me to come back. Meh. Not falling for it. But I told him I would be honored to take him out to lunch once in a while.

Other than that, school is killing me. But I am still hammering out letters to our troops! I found a nifty website to help me too!

Love and peace to our troops!!!

I am very glad that you had a good experience getting your entitleents. I am not going to assume that you were any more capable or had fewer adjustments to make than anyone else but what I have seen to my great disappointment is that too many service members have gotten the fast shuffle and had to go through tremendously difficult and drawn out systems even fight years to get what should have been a simple thing. Vets with serious physical and cognitive injuries have a very long road documenting stuff and then the service systems that are available for the accute patient are over populated and understaffed. The truely sad thing is that when a service member finds themselves having to fight instead of closeing ranks around him and insisting he get the services he is entitled to all to often he is labled a whiner, liar, or near do well and that is really sad from the service records I have read on the vets I have worked with try to make the system work. You can not know the anger and frustreation a person feels when their country betrays them on top of having their health yanked out from under them and turned into what is too often treated like a second class citizen.

I never said 10 years jethro. Always 8. You pro bally believe in Bush and all the weapons of mass destruction we found during the war witch was not one. Wasnt that our reason for war or was it 911. We have no fly zones if someone crosses it Jets are up in the air within 5 minutes. Orders to shoot down ANY military, civilian, any type of aircraft. SOO how did we let 2 airplanes hit the twin towers AND the pentagon? THEN someone get enough balls to take a box cutter and that plane wrecks in a field? Wrecked or shotdown? Dude I have nothing to prove to you. like i said before go back in the woods and dont make me embarrass you or I will. Just cause Im willing to tell some dirty secrets I wasnt a specop/spec forces troop. whats goat school. whats ABGD? What kind of training happens at camp bullis texas? They are easy You know so much. Leave me alone and I will leave you alone.

I do support everyone doing their jobs in the military but believe me people some dirty stuff gos on. I just told congress about it so others do not have to be sick forever. Im lucky Im still alive. My wife is not my daughter is sick and still denial. Why is PA paying us 50 dollars a day for every day deployed. They know they played with lives and no money NOTHING can make it better either your body gets the toxins out of your system or you DIE, Thank God Im still here to tell.

Anyone need help with th VA feel free to contact me. Yes It took ten years to win but I did. I know if you had top secret clearence or was special ops your gonna have trouble doing this. Why? You werent ever there! copy your medical records so when you go to VA they can establish a paper trail. This will show in med records why you were hurt not always where. I have more if ayone is intersted.
