There is a constant compromise between moneys and goods. And as usual either there are more money then goods or vice verse. In the first case (more money) there's production growth, but from some point production is not able to grow any more but prices starts to grow instead. This lead to lack of money and production declines. So crisis happens. There's no way to prevent economic from this waves at the moment.

So, my opinion (which can be wrong) is what we should be thankful to American government because they could rule this crisis in rather painless manner.

its all cyclical, and inevitable.

Every 20 years you will have recession.

But we need to find a Designated Arseh0le to blame.

They will take the blame for everything that goes wrong - everywhere!

So, who is going to volunteer to the D.A. for the next week?

Gypsy? I reckon you'd make a good D.A.

Well actually...there should be a year of jubliee... everything you have you own & all debt is wiped out, then if the economy deflates we can get back to a real value of the dollar.

I think there should be a world wide year of jubilee. Then we would not need all that govt. either. I also think it would shift alot of the wealth around... puffed up wealth that is.

A recession is a result of a combination of different things... difficult to place the blame on one specific element
I'm no economist here, but think that a lot of those things were the domino effects of leaving the gold standard.

Pegging your currency to a commodity prevents these kinds of things.
I blame US monetary policy and the Federal Reserve system, but I tend to think of it as a private banking cartel.

Who do I hold accountable for lack of healthcare etc, or rather lack of public purse funds for the public? Is it the elected Government, or the people who elected them, (possibly including me)?

Mismanagement of public monies, in any other corporate world would be a gaolable offense...the irony is, these elected thieves, are NOT held accountable for misappropriation of funds, as bullying a Congress into agreeing with them, makes it legal. Immoral, but apparently legal.

So who do I hold accountable?

The jackasses that wear the white shirts and the stoopid striped ties, and are paid by the people, to misrepresent the people...the stoopid governments of the stoopid western world.grumble
