A recession is a phase of a normal economic cycle. Peak, Recession, Troph, Recovery. One of these processes equals one economic cycle. The periods it take to complete each always fluctuate and are never the same. We are currently in the recession, we will hit the troph, and then we shall enter recovery, until the peak and the process starts over again.
There is Macroeconomics 101. |

Three things IMO,
1- A large trade deficit which has weakened the dollar. 2- A Costly war initiated by bad policies and compounded by even worse economic policies which have increased the National debt to historic levels. Someones idea of a quick fix is to simply print more money, and give large tax breaks, which further weakens the dollar, and causes them to print more worthless money. 3- A stock market driven by emotions and fear based greed rather than common sense. Oh, and Canada!! |

the leading culprit is gas prices. when we take our excess income and put it in thegas tank we dont spend it on other things like a night out on the town or new clothes or a new patio set

I blame the globalists & the politicians who voted for these one sided trade agreements. It's choking our jobs, our wealth & everything else.
We should also be supplying our own oil first & let Japan buy from Canada & Mexico. Energy prices are going through the roof while neither party does a darn thing about it. |

thoughts on recession??? Do you blame your government? The almighty dollar? Who do you blame for the lack of funds for things like education and healthcare and basic food? I simply call it "Murphy's Law". Sooner or later, SOMETHING is bound to happen no matter how hard and diligent you are to deter it. |
