A Texas state court of appeals ruled Thursday afternoon that the state of Texas had no right to seize more than 400 children from a polygamist ranch in Eldorado, in the western part of the state, because there was not sufficient proof that they were in immediate danger.

I think that its all just wrong but who am i to judge they say its their religion. As Long as the kids are not getting abused and the Sex that is happing is with adults, than what can we say we live in a country where you can have any religion you want.

Sick and twisted situation, and I feel for the children, and their children, and their children. I have been keeping up on this by watching Nancy Grace late at night, and sometimes I have to change the channel because of such disgust.

I'm so tired of hearing about that crap. Last time I checked, polygamy was illegal in this country. And I also belieeeeeve that people who do illegal things should be arrested. If A=B, and B=C, then A=C. Texas Polygamist Sect = someone should be arrested, and the ranch shut down.

And to respond to the whole "it's their religion" business, I don't even want to get started on how government tramples on religion in most cases anyway. I believe it's true that religions should be able to do what they need to, but as a christian that feels the stripping of my and others' rights on a daily basis in this country, I say they should be treated no differently.

My perception is that it is crap, that is why I have it blocked and whether I am mature or not has nothing to do with it...I just dont want to see it...The beauty of being human

but at the same time it's freedom of religion and they have the right by the federal constitution to practice their religion however they see fit as long as no one is in physical harm. just because they are being married at a young age and many wives are involved doesn't mean that they are in physical harms way.....i am not saying it's right by any means, but that's how our federal government works. you have to honor the constitution and the rights that people are given under it and it was violating their rights to have the state bust up in their compound and do that.

i have mixed views and without walking a mile in any of those individuals shoes, i can't have a true opinion of this. they seemed to live in peace and harmony, something i admire and wish we saw more of. but, right or wrong? idk

So Y'all dont even want to talk about how these people were accused of guilt and made to prove their innocence.

Maybe it because so many were so willing to jump on the bandwagon with the CPS and assume they were guilty as well???
