tho i may not agree with the site politics

why would anyone demand immunity if they had not done what they seek immunity for

(kinda sounds like a protection racket)

Soldiers are NOT murderers. Though it happens in conflict that civilians / innocents get hurt I doubt that there is a soldier who rejoices in the killing of an innocent (not any who has retained his sanity at least). A soldier is a professional, trained to do a job that is required and do it to the best of his ability. Yes he is trained to kill.........kill an enemy, an armed enemy.

I served in infantry and am proud of it. I am NOT a murder. I am a trained soldier.

I served 6 years and I was taught to question everything-even orders. Of course I was in the Navy not on the front line, but I had my hands on the controls of a nuclear power plant.

Soldiers do not start wars, nor do they continue wars, politicians do. If anyone should be charged with war crimes it is the starters of the war, if the war is found to be illegal.

WAR CRIMES TRIBUNAL FINDS U.S. AND NATO GUILTY

A panel of 16 judges from 11 countries at a people’s tribunal meeting in New York June 10 before 500 people found U.S. and NATO political and military leaders guilty of war crimes against Yugoslavia in the March 24-June 10, 1999 assault on that country.

A good soldier is taught to question orders not blindly follow. Remembering that the order received may a)be illegal, b)endanger himself, c)endanger his team mates. Any soldier with 'reasonable' grounds to refuse an order can refuse to follow that order.

if you refuse to do your duty as a member of the military you deserve to go to jail. i dont care if you think it is wrong or not. if you are told to go you had better get ready pack your crap and kiss everyone goodbye. he is a coward.

If the president told you to kill your first born I guess you would do that too...
every man and woman signed that piece of paper and it is in detail that you are to do as your told and go where they tell you to go. if it is illegal well get your piece of paper babe and start a petition to impeach everyone involved it voting to fund, send troops over and oversee the "war". hurry you better get working. hey after that why don't you just go ahead and try to get everyone to charge them with war crimes too. hows that sound.

nobody said anything about charging them with war crimes

it's the political motivations i'm questioning not the brave men and women in our military

you might want to check with some other country news services before you say war crimes is not an issue (just a thought)

i didn't say war crimes are not an issue, where did that come from???

The Jedi Creed
I am a Jedi, an instrument of peace.
Where there is hatred I shall bring love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
I am a Jedi.
I shall never seek so much to be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
The Force is always with me, for I am a Jedi.

Three primary tenents of Jediism
Focus
Knowledge
Wisdom

speaks for itself

So soldiers are robots : just take orders !
laugh laugh laugh laugh sad sad sad !.

They are Patriots!
They are Soldiers!

I am an American Soldier.
I am a Warrior and a member of a team.
I serve the people of the United States, and live the Army Values.
I will always place the mission first.
I will never accept defeat.
I will never quit.
I will never leave a fallen comrade.
I am disciplined, physically and mentally tough,
Trained and proficient in my warrior tasks and drills.
I always maintain my arms, my equipment and myself.
I am an expert and I am a professional.
I stand ready to deploy, engage, and destroy, the enemies of the United States of America in close combat.
I am a guardian of freedom and the American way of life.
I am an American Soldier.

An active duty soldier has no place in fighting Politics!
Get it?

using your logicfanta then all those from ww2 that ran the concentration camps should not have been convicted of war crimes they were just following orders

sorry just following orders is not good enough

and if it is those incharge of the war crime trials and executions should be tried and convicted of the murder of those found guilty

Using my logic???

I posted this
=============================================================
Army's General Orders

1. I will guard everything within the limits of my post and quit my post only when properly relieved.
2. I will obey my special orders and perform all of my duties in a military manner.
3. I will report violations of my special orders, emergencies, and anything not covered in my instructions to the commander of the relief.

No, an order given by a superior that violates the law is not permissible and could not be used as a defense to your guilt if you shoot a child.
