But I always wonder, when was the time when there were NOT "economy, wars, earthquakes, floods, cyclones, volcanoes, and tornadoes"?

These things are with us always. As are death, despair and illness. And sunshine, peacemakers, rainbows, cool breezes, clear skies, light, love, happiness, birth, and joy.

We focus on what we want to focus on....

Natural disasters, war, and outrageous economy has been happening ever since.
We can't focus in the end of the world.
With this i don't mean it's not going to happen. I mean there other things which are bigger priorities.
And wishing luck is just wrong. It's not a matter of luck. It's a matter of our actions of love towards our brothers and sisters.
If we love each other in the same way Jesus loved us (this is my standard) we don't have to be scared about the end of the world.
As a matter of fact we should be happy because we finally we are going to be face to face with the glory of God. (This is what I personally believe.)

this is just another way the fundamentalist use to proselytize based upon fear.
If I have to preach, I'd preach love and salvation not fear and condemnation.
It does not follow any reason under any reasonable theological concept.
However, I won't ever preach with words that is very archaic. The new evangelization requires a preaching through the life of the person. In consequence, others will see and know that the Lord lives in the evangelizer.

I'll bet you the earth will still be here next year. If I am right you give me $100 if you are right I will do your laundry in heaven for the first 1 million years.

Yes, IMHO that is the best way to influence people... try to do the right thing, the kind thing, whenever possible and live your life the best way you can and your words will have more weight with most people. To speak wisely is nice but to lead by example is much more powerful.

Maybe I can get there on a work release program.

Well the book of Revelations tells of the end times... it points the way...

I have to say I have been feeling the same way...an urgency...for people to know that God does exist & He IS the only true God. It's sad that in such a perilous time that satan would decieve so many with gods created from their own imaginations. Time has proven God over & over yet people are are so self destructive. (sigh) It's sad.... I don't get into politics too much anymore. It ruins my otherwise joyful countenenace that comes from Knowing God. I usually don't like doom & gloom senarios but... it's time for people to wake up out of their "SLEEP!"

My mission...to let people know that playtime is over. Choose this day who you will serve... God is real & Jesus is coming back for His church. I wonder where all the snot nosed answers will come when disaster hits YOU?

It's like everything else...there is no God till you hit the mountain in your life. Find Him while He can be found. He loves all His children. It is God's wish that none would perish & ALL would come to the saving knowledge of Christ Jesus.

satan knew that by endearing Eve with knowledge man could devise a way to battle god and save himself from this predicted apocalypse ..and the way to battle god would be with the use of technology
