what if they were lying for other reasons?
Not for sympathy, but more because they found themselves with their back against the wall and no way out? 
Maybe they went to far and almost got caught doing something they shouldn't have? I don't know of this is the case, just questions based on experiences I've had

lies are lies no matter how big or small. i own a few companies, but i wouldnt lie about it if i didnt. sooner or later someone will call you on your **** haha, yes, my motto is...I'll give you just enough rope to hang yourself. but again, if I tell you that I am 10 lbs over weight, when really I am 15 or 20... is that a big deal? I'm lieing to myself more than you. |

My Mom told me NEVER to lie about illness redardless if it was you or someone else,, She had me SCARED to death I would eventually GET IT

everybody has lied at some point in there life and to say they havent is a fib in itself I just said that very thing last night to my friend. That's why i feel some lies are acceptable, but when you do it to ellicit (spell?) emotions from other people, that is where I draw the line. Today I told my 6 year old that in the back of Baker's Sq. there are bunnies that make carrot cake, and that humans don't know the recipe for it, so only bunnies can make it...I mean was that so bad? |

and told you they had canser, or they owned a company. What would you think? They were an idiot? They lacked self esteem? They wanted your sympathy? They wanted to impress you?  I have met a friend here who said HE was in bad health and waiting for a kidney then about two months later was suddenly FINE??? But HE USED THAT on everyone here as his angle to met and decieve.....
Then jumped sites to meet and play with MORE ladies and people....

I had an ex bf who said he was a Navy Seal, I met his step-mom after the fact, and found out he was only in the Navy for 6 weeks then went AWOL. |

If a person lies about small things...they are also capable of lying about anything...and there are all sorts of reasons why people lie... If I've caught someone in a lie...everything they will ever say becomes suspect...and trust is very difficult to rebuild once its been removed! |

 ALOT of liars about their time in the service if they were in Nam... I've met many who could not even be there because of their ages and it pisses me because why? Just to SEEM important for them to be looked at..

First... my friend and I had a bet that for one hour at a bar he would wear a helmut and only say "I'm an astronaut...so that was REALLY funny. and Second- Tell one lie and a thousand truths are questioned....My mama told me that. |
