Why on earth would someone lie and say they have cancer? What a stupid thing to do, especially if you have experienced it. Sounds like an attention getter.

Would depend on the lie.
If they said they owned a company, I would think they were trying to impress me, tell me they had money, etc. If they told me they had cancer, I would think they were looking for sympathy or some kind of attention. I could never tolerate someone lying about a disease like this. |

Would depend on the lie. If they said they owned a company, I would think they were trying to impress me, tell me they had money, etc. If they told me they had cancer, I would think they were looking for sympathy or some kind of attention. A lie on any scale is just plain yukky to me. Some are more pallatable then others I think though. If someone says they are 10 lbs overweight... that's more acceptable then... I have canser and I may die. Yes lieing is not right, but white lies and small ones at times can be overlooked I think. |
