You know I leave you guys for a couple of hours and this is what it turns into. Someone gets offended and retaliates by showing off their intellectual and arrogant prowess.

The whole point of religion is that it IS personal and subjective. You cannot truly expect people to see eye to eye because they are raised differently and experience life differently. We are subjective, arrogant creatures.

What started out as a GREAT question has once again turned into a'my religion is better than your religion' debate and now feelings and emotions are involved because SOMEONE decided they did not want to respect another's opinion and made the deliberate decision to take offense to that opinion.

So to that person, while you may be 'defending your faith' and 'calling someone out' to set the record straight, in my humble opinion, you are simply being childish by demeaning any opinion that doesn't agree with yours and you are using your eloquent and educated opinion as a weapon, which takes all the learning, interacting, and fun out of this forum.

People can and should be allowed to express ANY viewpoint and opinion they want in this forum. Get use to it!

Believe it or not that information that I got from the internet actually may have been benefecial to someone who didn't know much about voodoo. So I think many appreciate it. I am fully capable of discussing issues also.

I only replied to your comment because you added to others who believe that cut and paste isn't appropiate to a conversation. By you adding that you don't read them is supporting the very idealogy of negativity into a forum that doesn't even need to be mentioned. Who cares if you don't like to read a cut and paste. So why mention it and stay with the topic. If anything you are full of it.

Well you believe I am one of the few, but perhaps you are one of the few that believes cut and paste is a terrible thing to do and uses so much distraction that it actually tips the whole earth more to one side destroying your ability to see what others looked up for. It doesn't bother me or makes a difference if one puts up a article to read. Or if one reads it and then crunches it down to the same words again in their own writing. Some people are appreciate people who go forth to find a answer on the internet. Sorry you are not flexible to do this.

Yes it would..However the whole point of being 'enlightened' it to move past the emotional, animalistic response. So I would ALSO have asked myself why this would upset me, then would have gave myself a lot of reflection time by asking that person what he meant by that comment, lol.

So what if they do? I only posted a one page article and not a entire book. If one reads it or not is a choice. If one uses the information or not is a choice. I like to use both combos to enhance the conversation for I know that I don't know everything and like to find out more about things. I use the internet and listen to opinions also.
