lol some people need money some want it but those who really are homeless, take care of themselfs. most stay in shelters, get mail, have a semi normal life. keep in mind some people chose to be homeless. i reazile SSI, Vet bennies and etcc are hard to get.
I've been trying to get on SSI for 2 years, i have a real medical problem, that no doctor has figured out yet. |

 Well at least she stands up for what she belives in.  when you get older, you will find so many people will play on your behalf............some of these folks are college grads that cant find a job in their field........so they become lazy and play people to make their living...........wise up kiddo...........  actually there are alot of Veterans that are being denied their benefits,being told they're not qualified to do jobs back home,or have been shell shocked bad enough they can't make it in the "real world",so they lose everything and end up on the streets why pray on the public? this is a government matter, ***** at the politicians for disowning them...............  |

The mentally ill can't handle being with all of the people. |

First of all, my daughter does love everyone, but like me she bases it on how she is treated by them....
Thankfully I have been blessed with a wonderful career with a great income, a beautiful life, and a beautiful daughter...On that note I donate quite a bit of money annualy to specific Childrens foundatios..(Abused and Neglected & Childrens Hospital, & Leukemia research) I would rather give my money to a foundation instead of not knowing who is getting it on the street, based on the fact that I dont know him/her and they may have more money then me! I am very proud of my daughter and I shared that with her, the conversation on the way home explained what I do as well in donations and she also wants to send a portion of her allowance now! Almost brought tears to my eyes.... |

If anyone knows me well enough, you know I hold no words and with complete honesty...Well,...my daughter appears to be the same... We were walking back to our car to come home a few hours ago...A homeless guy approached begging for money...I ignored him and it obviously annoyed her. She said and very politely mind you... "I have my own money, and I work for it...Sorry!" Keep in mind she is 7 years old...THats my girl From what I have seen of you on here, she sounds just like her dad, cheers for her

well i say don't judge until you've been in their position.alot of soldiers have lost everything just so some of the greedy @$$ b@st@rds in this country can still keep their big fancy house,the nice sports cars,and their jobs.for that i think we owe these soldiers!
i don't agree with the war but i'll be damn if i'm going to sit there and call these soldiers lazy or anything else like that. |

I think its great that your daughter has the work ethic down but as parents its up to us to show our kids compassion because you really dont know what will happen to you in the future.............And by the way most people who are homeless have true psychological problems and that is why the are outcasts in society.........and by the way you can fill out an application but if you are homeless they usually ask you for address and phone and where is that going to come from............I think we as a community have really lost sight of having sympathy and apathy for the less fortunate............its really sad we live in a world that it we dont care about each others well being..............

There are a number of studies by professionals on this problem. There are some scumbags who do it for a living. No question. Thinking most homeless are professionals panhandlers is a mistake. Thats what the studies indicate. I'm done on this topic. Let's get back to meeting someone to love shall we?

THis wasnt meant for a debate or for one to say my "parenting" strategy is not up to par...It's just different then yours...Feel free to give your money away to those you dont know...I will continue to fund charities....
Secondly, no one, and I mean no one on here knows the shoes I walked in nor the path's traveled. No one here ever will...But I have worked my ass off to get where I am and I deserve every bit of my opinion
