It is a public forum. we actually agree on something. Read my remarks to Abra again, Jeannie. Understand them as they are given, without your prejudicial filters. I am confident that you will see the abusiveness. But that may very well involve reading again the entire discourse of this thread and the argumentative hate inspired by calling the OP and the quote offered to share by the OP in the first place an unmitigated lie. It is entirely relevant with regards to calling it and the OP a liar, and that continues by your dear friend, Abra , in his veiled dissimulations that are disrespectful to the say the least. It is one thing to disagree, but it is another matter to pontificate that 'lies' are being spread. Whether or not you or Abra agree or disagree with the flavor of the joys expressed ,initially, in this thread is not the tenor of this thread. Excusing bad manners and the insults attached as free discourse as a rightful opinion expressed with good will intended is an offensive, violent and abusive misuse of liberties. It also is disrespectful and undignified and insulting. Why feign blindness and ignorance of that? Is it because it is not noticed? That kind of callousness is at the heart of this confrontation. Well if you read the entire thread you would have read my thoughts on the entire matter.
Everything is an opinion. The OP has an agenda and it is simply an opinion or a spin on an opinion. It is a point of view expressed by some people, not all. I would not have jumped on it and called it "a lie" as Abra did even if I thought it was, because I took it for what it is which is personal propaganda, and personal point of view or opinion. It was meant to influence and even inspire others. It was sentimentality. It was not something I would feel a need to start a cause against. But perhaps if people would let Abra express his views and then just go about expressing theirs without feeling they had to draw swords and defend their propaganda, it would have never gotten to such a degraded stage of personal insults. JB |

I get in moods sometimes where I feel like Abra but usually I try rise above my own personal feelings. I try (when Im rational) to take a historical aproach to these subjects.

Although I wouldn't rule out the possibility completely. He may have been a genetically improved descendant of Adam. ) I don't "love my beliefs" because I don't really know what the truth is. I only consider information. I am even reconsidering the story of a creator father and son who died on earth as part of his training and bestowal of his position in the universe as a ruler, although I don't entirely understand the politics of it all. I try to be honest and strait forward and clear about my considerations and questions and at the same time respect other people's beliefs. If because some of my beliefs or considerations differ from yours, that in itself should not be taken as an insult. JB |

It's as though Jesus were still on the cross and being flogged and tortured for His message even now. The only people who are flogging Jesus today are the one’s who are lying about him and spreading hate in his namesake. You say that people Hate Jesus, but nothing could be further from the truth. Most people admire him greatly. I think you confuse people’s hatred of the bigotry and hypocrisy that is often displayed be many people who call themselves “Christians”. Their egos are wildly inflated and instead of defending Jesus what they are actually doing is using Jesus as a shield to defend their own egos. Like Mahatma Gandhi said, “I like your Christ, it’s your Christians I don’t like” Unfortunately some Christians seem to feel that if people won’t bow down to their own personal ego then those people are refusing to respect Jesus. But nothing could be further from the truth. Fortunately many Christians are not like this. The sad part seems to be that the ones who are, are also the most vociferous and belligerent. Your whole mission and purpose at JSH is to disrupt and villify Christianity as though you are the ultimate authority and wisest of sages concerning Chrisitanity which you have miserably renounced altogether. You judge Christianity and slander Jesus Christ as though you have the inside tract on God's will and intent. You speak of Christianity as though you have mastered it and the way of life in the faith. Yet, contrary to your delusional machinations, none of what you profess to know is at all correct. Do Ganhi's words define credibility for your diatribe? NOT. Citing him is an excellent example of your dissimulation. Neither one of you arte credible witnesses to the faith and the way of life that is Christianity. Yet, you shall continue in your veiled attacks unabated and add to your misery as you see fit. Your implications are well noted, Abra, and they are not lost on me. But your qualifications to pontificate upon my remarks is hypocritical at best and callous in the least. Such cavalier indifference is why your stings are so light. Insofar as your conclusory remarks are concerned about how most Christians interact with you..... They have the good sense to ignore confronting your diatribes and offensive warpings of Christianity as a matter of humility and meekness that demands their attention as remaining at rest in His peace. Or more accurately I'm thoroughly convinced that it can't possible be true. To say that I hate Christianity would be like saying that people who believe Greek Mythology to be a myth hate Greek Mythology. In fact, it wasn’t even a mythology to the Greeks, it was their religion and they took it every bit as seriously as today’s Christians take Christianity. In fact, it was actually the Christians who historically and methodically tore down the Greek religions and proclaim them to be ‘mythology. I’ve already stated my position. The proselytizing of Christianity will inevitably lead to a world conflict. In fact, it’s already been doing that for centuries. This also includes Judaism and Islam which are ultimately the same religion that just took differnet pathways. So I’m trying to educate the public for the sake of all of humanity. If there’s any ‘hatred’ for this dangerous myth it’s the same kind of hatred that I would have for cancer. I see it as a cancer of the spirit. People continually proselytize it but in truth they have no clue that it’s true. I personally don’t believe that anyone can know that it’s true, because I’m thoroughly convinced that it can’t possible be true. How people can be so vehement about proselytizing something they can’t even know is true is beyond me. Especially in light of the fact that it’s clearly causing great tension and unrest in the world. And has done this for millennia. Besides, there are much better pictures of God available. Pictures of God that are genuinely loving instead of judgmental and accusatory. Why not support one of those?
