My friend just sent me a email, of photographs taken of the bodies of the victums of the holocaust, thses photos were taken by the orders of General Dwight Eisenhower, in order that no one could turn round and say the holocaust never happened, the UK has just banned the teachings of the holocaust to our children because it may offend the Muslims in our country who say it never happened...im very angry about this, anyone else have opinions on this

i have read several books on this subject about what happened back then.every bit of it infuriates me and saddens me to the core every time.

in miami, there is a holocaust memorial, a close friend of mine took me there because he wanted to show me part of his family's past.within less than a minute i cried the entire time.it was a disgusting irreparable tragedy.

as for ignoring the fact that it happened, bring them all to it and see how their faces change and react to it.ive got NO RESPECT OR CARE for ANYONE who is this ignorant.

History is often offensive & often rewriten . This is very disturbing. Most of the eyewitnesses are gone now. Maybe we should try to locate them & tape interviews? My 6th grade teacher lost her parents in a concetration camp. I wish I remembered more of the details of how she was saved. I am thinking maybe I should look her up& see if she is still living.

Since WHEN does the world have to worry about offending the Muslims? Offend to you know where and back is what I say!!!!!!!!!!!

The holocaust was the most horrid event on earth.explode explode

A great Christian woman, who has since gone home to the Lord, from Holland, Corrie Ten Boom, she hid Jews in her home to protect them. Corrie and her sister Betsy were arrested and sent to Ravensbruck, the hells of which Corrie describes in her book "The Hiding Place", and where Betsy died.

Please, offend.

To have no opinion on such an atrocity is an atrocity in of itself.

Why does history mingle in our everyday lives? ARE YOU SERIOUS??? HISTORY IS OUR LIFE!

Theres so much evidence to prove it happened, how can people just turn around and say "oh that was just a government story and everyone believes in". And who cares what the "crazy" Muslims think, they are out there killing people and blowing stuff up, so why should we care what they think.

I just called my old elementary school & spoke with one of my teachers. I am searching for Mrs. Shwartz who was a survivor of the holocast. I still don't know if she is living, but I have her 1st name now.

maybe they should say the united states never revolted

cause it may offend someone

history is history

if it is not studied the chance it will happen again increase

if they do not want it taught they should go to a country that does not teach it

no one is making them stay there

it was taught b4 they went there

and it should be taught regardless of weather it offends them

evolution offends many as well do they still teach it

just a thought

but

hey

what do i know

The rumors of the holocaust not being real has been around for a long time. I have heard of them myself. It will never not be taught in a regular curriculum school. So no worries there.

History is the key to the future. We have so much to learn from our human failures. We are slow learners toonoway huh

If this be your opinion, then such is your right, and you are welcomed to it.

But you might want to take a look back in history. Perhaps you haven't quite thought of this yet, however...the folks who made the really 'big' events in history?

They were kinda smart - you might learn a thing or two.

A wise man once said "Those who do not study history are doomed to repeat it." Another one said something like this "When they came for the Jews I did not speak up because I was not a Jew. When they came for the Gypsies I did not speak up because I was not a Gypsy. When the came for the Catholics I did not speak up because I was not a Catholic. When they came for the Protestants I did not speak up because I was not a Protestant. When they came for me, there was no one left to speak up for me." But just sit in a circle with your friends and sing Kymbya till they come for you.

When I was a little girl living in Miami Beach, Fl. my grandmother lived in an apartment complex where many jews lived, most where my grandmother's friends, what I remember most about them were the numbers tattooed on their forearms. My grandmother's father and brother died in concentration camps...
those who claim the holocaust never happened are trying to hide away a horrible fact of humanity and what people are capable of doing to one another. To ignore our past is to open the door to repeating it again:

Genocide Watch was founded by Gregory Stanton. The Watch organization is the founder and chair of the International Campaign to End Genocide, initiated in The Hague in May 1999. On their webpage in 2006, Genocide Watch explains the ICEG this way:
1.5 million Armenians. 3 million Ukrainians. 6 million Jews. 250,000 Gypsies. 6 million Slavs. 25 million Russians. 25 million Chinese. 1 million Ibos. 1.5 million Bengalis. 200,000 Guatemalans. 1.7 million Cambodians, 500,000 Indonesians. 200,000 East Timorese. 250,000 Burundians. 500,000 Ugandans. 2 million Sudanese. 800,000 Rwandans. 2 million North Koreans. 10,000 Kosovars. Genocides and other mass murders killed more people in the twentieth century than all the wars combined.

“Never again” has turned into “Again and again.”

MUSLIMS are not "out there and killing people and blowing stuff up". The Muslim religion has nothing to do with it. It is a small (relatively speaking) faction of people who claim they are the true Muslim religion that are putting a bad name on the Muslim Nations, and a handful of bad leaders.

Wasn't Steven Spielberg trying to locate people and tape interviews?? I thought I'd read that a while ago.
