Topic: is childbirth REALLY painful??

It hurts, yes. But as soon as the baby pops out, its not really a concern. But of course I had an epidural, so I didn't feel a thing.

I'm just gonna take a guess here that the 50+ years of joy and happiness a child can bring surpasses the few hours of pain. - but I'm just guessing.

haha I think that people tend to view the baby as being worth the childbirth pain

I had kidney stones,they said it was close enough.They were twins.

Yes ...it is painful when you do it all natural. Definately worth every second of it though!

I would say HELL YES, but women also have the urge to have children, the maternal instinct so I would say that over rides the pain. Plus alot of women now have the pain controllers during so they don't know how painful it really is anyway. I had mine natural but I have a high tolerance for pain so it was no biggie, hurts and it is over.

Yes, it's extremely painful, but all that pain goes away the instant you see that beautiful baby that you created!

its gets easier after the 1st one really does it?? what does the pain feel like??? Contractions are very strange. Hard to describe really. Kind of like period cramps times 100. But they last for a minute and then stop like nothing...very strange.
