In 1980, I read an article that said we'd run out of oil by the year 2000. In 1995, I read an article that said we'd run out of oil in 2010. In 2000, I read an article that said we'd run out of oil in 2020. This morning on National Public Radio, I heard that we will run out of oil in 10 years or so. Make up your minds and gimme a break! How am I supposed to plan my stockpile, if the target keeps shifting?

Now wait one min please. can anyone find the report saying we will run out of fuel in the next decade (10 years) from 1972 and the fuel crisis!!??? it basically said the EXACT same thing! And this report probably comes from the same "scientific" group that said MILK causes cancer! Yes, lets give the price MANIPULATORS MORE things to use so they can raise the price of fuel yet again!

just think the billions spent on just this last war we could have completly refined the the method of Hydrogen power ... and have sold it to the world to stablize the economy .... ah but what do I know , I didnt go to Harvard or did I get voted in as president for two tirms ... but im sure if this does happen my bottled water will skyrocket in price ,, and they will tell us the ocean is drying up ...

This is all propaganda...read this article carefully...they are just saying that supply won't meet demand sometime within the next 12 years, meaning we would have to dip into oil reserves, but heck by that time dependency on oil should be decreased. If car and oil executives hadn't killed the electric car this would be a moot point already (I really suggest watching the documentary "Who Killed The Electric Car".) Also if countries like Iceland can move to total recyclable fuels by 2010 what is stopping other industrialized countries? Lobbyists and corporate America!!!

The larger and more technological the world and this country become in terms of knowledge base, the more "educated" about some things the general public becomes. With conspiracy theories becoming more and more popular, and the information on such becoming less and less dependable, one must be stringient during the consideration of that upon which they place value. Unfortunately any capitalistic form of government inherently and quite cleverly divides the people while padding both, the wallets and the lives of those who make the decisions in government. Politicians know that giving the general public too much knowledge would be detrimental to the stability of the country for too many reasons to list. The need for the deliberate ignorance of the people justifies the means by which those in power perpetuate such ignorance, for the higher good of all. America's primary source for information only seems like it is representative of the people at large, because it keeps the illusion of division within the government in the forefront of it's people's mind. They are all on the same team when it comes right down to it. We know what they want us to know...
