First move, second move, blah, blah, blah. It sounds more like a fear of rejection than anything.

I don't see any problem with a woman approaching a man if they're interested, or the other way around.

It's not a matter of old fashioned or any of that fearie tale crap. Women have been asking men out for centuries.

or the arm touch, or the laughing at his dumb jokes that aren't funny. or the intent way you listen when he talks... ya most guys don't get that....

Could being shy be confused with being cowardly? I'm not affraid to show my feelings and love towards a woman once I know I'm not going to be humiliating myself, or maybe its a lack of confidence. In any case of such would it make me a coward to not feel comfortable to make the first move?

I like to turn to a coin flip in these situations, this way I'm never wrong...but the quarter was.

it could be im not saying the guys just trying to get laid just because he makes the first move
im saying it doesn't always mean hes more of a man just more social
some people have a hard time talking and meeting new people male or female
if its easy for a woman to talk to people then she shouldnt always wait on the man

Here is my thoughts on it, and why i perfer the man to make the move.

I'm 34, I've been around the block a time or twelve. I need a man who is strong and confident, and not shy, who deals well with adversity, who stands strong in the face of crisis... now I am a very strong and confident woman, and in the past I have made the first moves.... these did not work out to my benefit, as these men haven't been what i needed in life.

I'm not some damsel in distress who needs saved by any means, however, to be with me, you gotta be pretty tough, to survive with my 3 irish brothers, and my "crew" of guy friends, you have to have some back bone... or they will eat you alive, and they arn't going anywhere....
