Let Edwards switch and run as an Independent and we could have a real 3 party election!!!drinker drinker

Edwards is too much of Spoiled Rich kid! I like how he was in North Carolina ( I think thats where he was born) telling folks in a Trailer park that He understands the Working man and the Poor and his Ranch is across the highway with a 20,000 SQ Ft house on it and he understands the working man and the Poor. as for the Dept. of Education goes the Whole thing needs Scrapped, Evaluated and Re-done.

Edwards parents weren't rich. His father worked in a textile mill, definitely not rich.
That is why he is so passionate about the outsourcing of jobs. He lived through it!
Rich now, of course, but he made his money suing large corporations and insurance companies on behalf of everyday Americans!
There are no poor candidates, and Edwards went out on a political limb attacking lobyists and large corporations interests in Wash!drinker

That took guts and showed loyalty to the people! I like him!!drinker drinker

Edwards snubs the everyday man. He was a trial lawyer for goodness sake, he would only take jobs where he could sue big companies cause he knew he would make millions of dollars. Trial lawyers are leeches.

I am a resident of NC, and he (Edwards, not his secretary) called my house once!
He didnt snub me when I had questions about why current immigration laws were not being enforced!

That was during the last elections when he was Kerry's running mate. Im sure he was very busy and could have used an excuse that he was too busy, but he didnt.
Is that a snob??

Otherwise bored pilots of the A4E Skyhawk would often turn on the starter switch and let it run for a bit before igniting the engine. This allowed a pool of gas to form. When the aircraft was thus "wet-started" a huge impressive flame would shoot from the aircraft. "Investigators and survivors took the position that McCain deliberately wet-started to harass the F4 pilot directly behind him."

There are widely available videos of this incident. In those videos..The rocket flies the length of the flight deck from forward to aft...exploding on the back half of the deck.

I don't know much about the habits of pilots on carrier flight decks.. But you would think that the pilots would probably only start their jets right before preparing to launch. Which would mean both of the jets would be staged pointing forward on the front half of the flight deck. Unless that rocket was mounted backwards on the jet..Chances are it was not even mounted yet. Not to mention..The explosion would appear to be at least 600 feet away from the ignition point. Much of what has been written about this story says the rocket impacted McCain's exterior fuel tank immediately forward of the mounted rocket.

Whatever happened.. The visual evidence I have seen on this leads me to believe that this story is just more of the political propaganda and disinformation that Madman so loves to help spread.

Yes, Edwards was a trial attorney. Most kust sit on their butts and never even see a courtroom, so actually working in a courtroom is a bad things? Consider who he represented. He represented the "everyday man" against big business, big insurance and health companies. When battling corporations for the "everyday man", he took on companies with legal departments and monetary resources that dwarfed both his own firm and the money his clients had. I've seen him speak about his work as an attorney and he stated he has no regrets winning cases for common people against the big corporate giants.

Well Madison, I am surprised by this one, that you've taken this approach to going after McCain.

John McCain served honorably in a war a great number of people ran to Canada to avoid. We can debate the merits of the conflict (as technically it was not a war declared by Congress) but it's interesting to me that you pick this as your issue. It was in fact two Democrats (JFK and LBJ) that got us going in that war. Some have tried to lay all of the war on Nixon and while there is no doubt that Nixon was a terrible president in many ways, it was a conflict that was basically entered in to by Democrats.

The website you linked to is an odd little site but clearly it will back up what you believe and allow you to continue your somewhat interesting practice of cut and paste.

Anyway, as others have pointed out, McCain was a POW for a number of years, tortured and finally sent home.

But really, keep doing what you are doing. Going after McCain for his military service will backfire so badly and if it catches on (it won't because neither Hillary or Obama have dared to go after him on that, and you know, there is a reason for that) it will all but ensure that he is elected.

If you had taken the time to read ......DREW........ you would have seen I mentioned most of this information wa originaly floate around by the Bush gang when Mcain was a rival for the republican nomination seemed to have worked for them ..Drew....

Yes, Madison, I should have taken the time to read more. That it was a tactic that worked for the Republicans doesn't mean it is one that will work for the Democrats and I would have taken Republicans to task for attacking McCain on these grounds just as much as I would Dems. But still, you are right, I should have read more. I will work to do that Madison, work to read through your cut and paste (aka dearth of ideas) world here at JSH.

Cheers!

Drew

More left wing liberal socialist crap. When the liberal socialists see that they are going to loose they pull out all the stops and turn loose with the mud slinging. What a pitiful, pathetic bunch of loosers. Ann Colter is right if the Democrats had any brains they would be Republicans. laugh laugh laugh laugh

No better then the conservative fundamentalist right.... Both sides have those that should be locked in a little room together.

Madison - you are just one of the folks on here that loves to smear anything Republican. And has the unfortunate habit of talking ka-ka about that which you know nothing about.

So - in this site you pander a bunch of conspiracy theory b.s. about McCain, and you slather over it like a rabid dog foaming at the mouth.

So - how about the possibility of an improper fueling procedure being used, which caused a static build up on a plane? Did that possibility even cross your mind? Or you seen "McCain" and latched on like a pit bull?

And yes, the Zuni rocket from the F-4 comes from aft to forward - for those who are wondering

Better yet.. What ranking did you achieve in your graduating class from High School?

McCains ranking low was due to disciplinary actions as a boy, or young man. Which really has little to do with who he is as a full grown man.

Somehow, I'm thinking that you tend to measure others with a far different stick then you measure yourself.
