If you wait for a lady to make the first move you'll die of old age....but on the flip side I don't bother anymore because even when I do do I get no response....pick you poison.

 I will TRY to hear anothers thoughts about me, then ask them a little deeper question to read their reply.
But as a guy who has felt ALOT of rejection from women.
I don't like to even TRY, if I feel they will NOT be interested back in me...
WOW,,was that understandible???? lol,lol

The worst is one when you think a girl likes you and ends up rejecting you. I am similar I only like to ask out someone I think might say yes.

I'm so confused. You are on a dating site to wait for someone else to make the first move? And in "real life" everything went so well with that M.O., you thought you'd try it here, too?

Aren't you more interested in improving your life, than who makes the first move? Is it a badge of honor to NOT have made the first move?noway

blushing No Badge,,,,but,,REALLY.
Rejection is a little hurtful,,BUT to ask one to soon, is ALSO (FOR SOME) a flat no desire for you.
As she see's me as MOVING to FAST! sad SO then we're lost again????? lol,lol

then I miss out.... not really my loss.

I'm a lions den..... I need a man that can handle that.... and if I have to pursue him, he can't handle that....

Seems like it basically comes down to "men" never having grown past boyhood.

You want a girl, guys? A good, lasting relationship? Those things don't just happen. It's up to you to step up, be a man, and earn the skills you need to meet, attract and keep a woman. Otherwise, more for the guys who do put in the effort.

Point of interest: the man widely regarded to be the world's best pick-up artist, bar none, who's dated some of the most beautiful, successful, desirable women in the world, started out as a frustrated, awkward, unattractive geek. If he can do it, so can you. smokin

I guess that by conventional wisdom, it's assumed to be the mans place to initiate, and I never thought I really had much of a problem with that. Unfortunately, at this point in my life, it seems I do.
Fifteen years,(two girlfriends, and their five children) ago I remember being far more outgoing and gregarious, and found it much easier to strike up a conversation, based on nothing, with almost anyone.
I'd never really been one for small talk anyhow, (me make BIG talk), and now I find myself wondering what to say without talking too much, or being too personal, or over bearing, etc.

But that's my problem,...... not yours!!frown

Or maybe it is.........huh
