I'm gonna be an a-hole here for a moment. And I am doing it because a statement like this pisses me off to no end. Do I say "Looking for a REAL woman?" Hell no, and for good reason. Why the hell would I ask for something that assumes I want perfection. A real woman? What? Do I want plastic? Pfffft. If I did, then I live in the wrong part of the country for that. Women who say they want a real man simply think that a real man is a guy who will bow to their every whim. And while I am all about compromise, and all about wanting to make a woman happy, I am not about to be her definition of what she thinks I should be. You either like Goof or not. Don't treat me like a ball of play-doh and try to create something out of me. But, as usual, a guy is supposed to sit back and listen to some women biatch about "real" men. A guy is supposed to say to a woman "I am a real man. I want to get with you". Yeah. Already just committed yourself to being her little puppy dog. And no. I do not buy into the theory that women want a man with "honesty, integrity, and blah, blah, blah". Of course women want that. So most say. And most do. But the fact is, a good portion of women want to make a man into what she sees to think he should be. Yes, there are men who do this too. But we are talking about women here. All I am saying is that I think when women say this, they are hiding their true intent. It has been proven time and time again that women can say all the nice things, want the personality and all that good stuff. But when it boils down to it, they either want to control a guy or they simply want a guy with the looks. And if you think it isn't true, then look around you. The proof smacks you in the face on a daily basis. Ugh! I'm done. Feel better hubby? |

What does it mean?? The statement is absurd, right? If I take away the way in which the concept is conveyed, I think it means "Looking for someone with integrity and character; a stand-up guy (or girl) who will take responsibility for their actions". that is a little long, good thing they shortened it up, huh... Yeah, who needs those pesky words getting in the way? I much prefer the urban, unsophisticated way of communiqué! |

This is such a subjective question.
To me, beards are gross and unattractive. I don't date men with facial hair unless it's a soul patch or something a little more modern. Beards, mustaches and goatees are 70s and 80s - besides that - they are too rough for intimacy. (body hair is icky too) You will get 100 different answers so just do what YOU want to do! |

it's not that im whining about it i fell it needed to be said due to all the people that are like this and show that there are still good people in this world who aren't just out to get what they want from their own selfish desires being it's amazing how thousands of years marriage and dedication meant something it's ridiculous that in 50 years everything has changed and relationships aren't as serious as they used to be i felt it was needed to be said and i was curious about all the people that feel the same way i do about the situation Punctuation is your friend! Punctuation allows an unhindered read – and will legitimize your thoughts. I doubt the audience you are trying to reach post in these forums since the majority of Mingle participants don't subscribe to this type of drama. "Nice" guy and girl threads are somewhat tiresome. Again, dating a person with more integrity is the best way to handle your baggage of past complaints. |

Need booty on the daily not on the yearly on to the next one Then relocate ya dork!!! It's not like its 1840 and we have to use cover wagons to get around. Planes, trains, automobiles and U-Haul are around for a reason!!! I know it can work. From Tenn (him) to Cali for me - and a great 6 year relationship! |

Why would a person allow distance to get in the way of happiness? Distance should only be temporary if two people are really happy.
I view the “distance” issue as an excuse. |
