Went to HS with Chris D'abaldo formerly of Saliva and now with Egypt Central. Always knew he'd follow a music career as a guitarist and song writer. Super great guy. happy

Go for it! I've sold my crafty crap on ebay and a friend put some of my stuff on Etsy for me as well. I did pretty well on both.

What do you do?

Considering that you have taken vaca time, changing jobs isn't an option, and face it... we all have bills to pay, you may have to either buck up and spend what little bit of personal time you have to "decompress" or you may need to talk to someone in a position of authority about your concerns to get something done. Really it depends on the dynamics of your situation.

I know that I have different jobs (including the one I'm at now) that drive me up the wall. I love what I do, I enjoy the majority of the people I work with, but in my case my boss is a idiot, at best.

What I have come to do is just go in, do my job to the best of my ability and go home. I still am productive, congenial with the staff, respectful to my boss... but I've left the stress at the door. I refuse to let "this place" and "that woman" impact my sanity (or lack thereof). Does it work every day? No. But it does give me bit of piece of mind. I know that there isn't another job out there at the moment for me, so I bide my time and make the best of it.

Sometimes you just have to do your job and let go enough to let the others do theirs. Personally, I am an OCD freak. I will help someone else to make sure "it" is done right and end up taking on much more than I really need to. I have learned to do what I need to do and move on. I can't fix it for them and if I do... I pay the price by getting worn out. Making sure everyone else is doing their thing is NOT worth my sanity.

This is Ami. She's a sweet little girl I adopted yesterday. She actually chose me by hanging around the house for the last few weeks. I ended up taking her to the animal sanctuary because I didn't think I'd be able to keep her. Well, turns out, I can. So, for a discounted charge to have her fixed... I got to bring her home yesterday. She is a total lovey!

This is the end all, be all movie quote for me. bigsmile

Well, I believe in the soul, the c0ck, the pu$$y, the small of a woman's back, the hanging curve ball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core p0rnography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days.

Yeah, well. I've seen so many others that I think would be better qualified at assumptions.

Who amongst us wants to volunteer to wear this badge and officially become the mingle² Assumption Sherrif?

I think I'm wanted for a past due parking ticket in Assumption Parish, but thanks anyway. whoa Maybe it was Tererabone Parish, instead. It's been a while.

Why? Because you were bothered by me responding to someone's rate me thread for some reason? That's the only thing I can think of.

I'm bothered by the fact that you are slightly funnier than me...!

It's not fair, I work hard at being funny. I have studied the works of the great mingle² comedians like Cottonelle and Waterloosunset. And here you come outta nowhere and out-funny me.

Well boo freakin' hoo...

sad

Drama Queen!

I was referring to the random assumptions that fly around here like flies at a picnic. Nothing more, nothing less.

Sorry if I hit a nerve. flowerforyou

Do you tend to make assumptions about people you don't know? Or, do you ask questions and get to know them first?

I actually pride myself in not making general assumptions about people. I try to take them at face value at first and reserve my opinion until I get to know them better. I wish more people did that.

I find it funny that so many people feel the need to jump on someone (especially on sites like Mingle) because they write or speak something that is outside the norm... or what they think is outside the norm, without taking time to figure out who the person is, not just what they say.

I've always thought that it is better to open your mind and keep your mouth shut, and you can learn a lot that you'd have never guessed.

Eh... ironic post, I'd say. huh

Your post was ironic, or the thread?

The thread. ohwell

flowerforyou its my opinion that the thought is that not having all the religion forums showing up prevents some arguing in those threadsflowerforyou

Hmm... I'm not liking not being able to view other "religions". How else are you to have an opportunity to learn and discuss if you are limited. I understand that this may be in order to keep the confrontation to a minimum... but sheesh. This is a little much I think.

What's to stop the folks that like to grumble from changing their options and posting?

One of the things I have always liked about this site is that it is open. What's next... you can only email those people that are directly inline with your profile? Are we going to start having a questionnaire to complete to see who we are and aren't allowed to talk to?

Getting my Mrs. Beasley doll (Family Affair) for my 5th birthday.

I still have my Mrs. Beasley doll! Her voice thingie doesn't work anymore, but I still have her. If she could talk... I'd be in BIG trouble! I used to tell her everything.

i think people who make statements like,"all men are b@stards." and "all women are b!tches." are destined to be alone and lonely. if you don't open your mind, your heart will never follow. be seeing you

Personally, I find generalizations and assumptions ride the same line of ignorance. It's a shame that so many of our society embraces both without a thought. huh
