I don't think my financial situation is anyone's business but my own. Keeping my private affairs private is not "lying". Things happen, people struggle. I would not want to date someone who feels the right to judge people for that. There are more important things than money and your credit rating.

My experience has been that a guy who is disrespectful to his mother will be disrespectful to me. I think that depends on the relationship the guy has with his Mom. My Mom and I have a relationship that goes, She says just about anything to me, and I say just about anything to her. It may seem disrespectful to some, but that is just the way my Mom and I are. That, by no stretch, means that I would be disrespectful to my significant other. Oh I agree with you. My daughter and I talk to each other in ways that people would construe as disrepectful - but it is the way we interact and is done in a spirit of love and humor. I meant true meanness and lack of respect. (like the way my ex treated his mom, for example.)

Gyms aren't only for overweight people. Everyone needs to work out. My friend gave me certificates for two yoga classes. I didn't think she was implying that I am inflexible. She just loves me, is all.
