Hey, I know I'm fat, so I'd be grateful for the gift!

No, they are expensive. That would only mean they care about your health as well

That would be a little offensive
But I would take advantage of the membership |

yea i know memberships are not cheap, but still there are more subtle and nicer ways to tell someone

I would be happy since like everyone else has stated they are expensive. So oh yeah give me the certificate.

I wouldn't care...I'd take it and use it until it withers in my sweat. All access to the equipments will be my dream come true.

I'd love for someone to pay for my gym membership.

take it and use it...its a good gift for anyone

yea i know memberships are not cheap, but still there are more subtle and nicer ways to tell someone Look at it a different way. They care enough about you being healthy to give it to you. |

yea i guess so.... maybe this will improve my phsique and i get a few more dates LOL
|

It would depend, I mean if you had ever discussed with them your desire to get into better shape, or the cost of membership...
Context is everything, not just the gift. Either way. Take it and enjoy every minute of it. Sounds like a decent gift to me. Its up to you, be pessimistic and take offense, or be optimistic and look at it as a gift of love. |

|

It would depend upon who gave me such a gift. If it was someone notoriously uppity about fat or who previously had been uncouth about looks, fat, whatever, I'd take offense. But, in general, I think that is an awfully thoughtful gift, a gift of health wishes.

Stock up on the gator-aide and go the gym buddy
|
|
|

They care about your health...use it and get ripped

I would love it cuz they aren't cheap, but i also exercise daily. But someone that is heavy may take some offense to it and i can see why. Although i think that most people that gave the gift is just looking out for the well being and wanting to encourage getting healthy.
