So, then, what is the Hebrew name for JESUS? If you are Hebrew, call HIS name in Hebrew. Whether you call HIM as HE is called in Hebrew or as HE is called in French or as HE is called in any other language, JESUS CHRIST is one and the same...yesterday, today and forever. HE is the way, the truth, and the life! He died for the sins of the world and lives to save. The power to save souls is in HIS hands. Yahowsha. His Hebrew name is his only name. I'm harping on this same point over and over again because it's a common misconception and it's a lie. If I went out with you and we were holding hands while walking down the street and then I said "hey, I love you" and then proceeded to call you by the name of another woman wouldn't you feel immensely disrespected? Reference Exodus 20:4-7 from any translation. I know this isn't a very intellectually stimulating conversation. If anybody wants to hi-jack the thread and maybe steer this in a different direction please feel free to do so. So sorry...I am not Hebrew. I know HIM personally...as JESUS CHRIST and HE relates to me. HE has NEVER told me that I am making a mistake about HIS name. I know some Youruba speaking people (a tribe in my country), who call HIM "JESU". And yet another tribe (the Hausas) that call HIM "Yesu". HE relates to all HIS followers amongst these language groups and HE has NEVER told any of them that HE must be called in the Hebrew language. JESUS CHRIST is the same whether called by the name the Hebrews know HIM or by the name the English know HIM. JESUS is one - the only begotten Son of God who came into this world in human flesh, born of the virgin Mary, crucified on the cross for the sins of the whole world, resurrected on the 3rd day and lives forever to save as many as will believe in HIM! |

Sorry for my english!!! Truth is God does not necessarily need perfect English in order to use a write-up to affect people, once the write-up tallies with HIS will and instruction. |

the duty of the two thieves on the cross was to acknowledge the LORDSHIP of JESUS CHRIST, REPENT and SURRENDER to JESUS CHRIST. This, one of the two thieves did and was accepted by JESUS CHRIST. The thieves were already bearing the world's punishment for their criminal life by being crucified but only JESUS CHRIST could redeem them from the next level of punishment (God's judgment to eternal doom). The repentance of the thief who repented changed his eternal destination. The analogy of thieves who were being killed as punishment for their sin is totally out of place!!! How is it out of place? isnt this whole topic about how sex before marriage affects our ETERNAL destination? if this was just about marriage here in earth, this would be in the 'legal forum' but it's in the Christian forum. So an analogy about someone's ETERNAL destination changing based on what is in their heart I think fits very well. ...God recognizes systems and structures that man puts in place (except that HE is not pleased with anything that is against HIS word or will). It is because God reckons with systems and structures that are in place that the Bible instructs clearly that we submit to authority. It is therefore proper for a man and a woman who want to get married to do so legitimately by following the process recognized in their environment - NOT just start living together and having sex. To think we can just start living together and having sex according to our pleasure without following the recognized process of getting married is a lie from the devil! It is fornication in the sight of God as per Bible contents. We must keep at the back of our minds that the Bible already says concerning the heart of man, that it is desperately wicked and deceitful above all things. Follow the Bible please! Again here you say "concerning the hearts of man", my whole argument has been nased in this, God is not concerned whether or not "we follow the process through to the end" he is concerned with what it's our hearts, and you seem to agree given the above, unless of course you'd like to take back/change your previous post God looks at both the heart and the action in an interconnected manner. You can't pay attention to one and ignore the other. Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. James 2:18 "Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works". |

"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." - 1 Corinthians 1:18 (NIV) The above quotation from the Bible says it all. The carnal mind cannot understand the things of the Spirit. But those who seek God in earnest will find HIM and will know that God is real and that eternity (life after death) is certain. John 3.16 (Bible) explains that God so loved the world that HE gave HIS only Son (JESUS CHRIST), that whosoever believes in HIM should not perish but have everlasting life. JESUS also said in the Bible, "I am the way, the truth and the life". The name of the messiah isn't Jesus. It's literally impossible. There's no j in Hebrew, Aramaic or Greek. You can't possibly find salvation if you don't know something as basic as God's actual and proper name. good luck reading יהושע I doubt he is pinned up on it either So, then, what is the Hebrew name for JESUS? If you are Hebrew, call HIS name in Hebrew. Whether you call HIM as HE is called in Hebrew or as HE is called in French or as HE is called in any other language, JESUS CHRIST is one and the same...yesterday, today and forever. Proverbs 16:2 "All a person's ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the LORD" so going back to my original I think the above matters more than what our current laws say....let me give you an example Say two people stand upt in front of their friends and family, promise to be with each other, fill out a marriage license etc, suppose the minister is supposed to drop that off at the court and file it, let's say this last step never happens Now they are not 'technically' married, and that marriage would not be considered complete/valid by our courts. The wife and husband may not know that their marriage is invalid, they truly believe they are married and have done things right in God's eyes. So if they die in a car crash a year later I don't believe God will see them as 'fornicators' even though thats 'technically' what they would be to any HUMAN judging them. I believe in a God who can look deeper and understand motive and intentions and judge based on that, not one who is subject to the technicalities of our human based laws The same people who chose to follow the step also have the duty to follow the process through to the end. if duty was all that mattered than the thief on the cross wouldn't have joined Christ that day, because his 'duty' would have been to follow his punishment through to the end.... so here's another example, if two children growing up in the U.S are taught their whole life that marriage is defined by jumping over a broom 3 times while holding hands with the one they love, when these children are grown, and choose to do this 'ritual' and TRULU believe they are married. ..again no U.S court will recognize it, personally I believe God will...if that is what is in their hearts...again I don't believe in a God that is subject to our earthly laws, he is far greater The duty of the two thieves on the cross was to acknowledge the LORDSHIP of JESUS CHRIST, REPENT and SURRENDER to JESUS CHRIST. This, one of the two thieves did and was accepted by JESUS CHRIST. The thieves were already bearing the world's punishment for their criminal life by being crucified but only JESUS CHRIST could redeem them from the next level of punishment (God's judgment to eternal doom). well, I have not found anyone who shares my beliefs and have a marriage proposal from a man I do care about alot and who makes me smile. I think that will have to be enough just to love him anyway and it is up to him if he wants to keep a good wife like me as he has said he is not a christian but acted better than my ex who says he was and hurt us Better be very careful- advisably! Pray...seek God's mind. Not the easy way out but it is absolutely important. |

"Okay all good and well but in that case why does it tell those that had been cheated on, and could not forgive, and also those that are unequally yoked whose nonbeliever husband/wife wants a divorce to grant a certificate of divorce, you cannot choose which parts of the bible and times are appropriate to you. Trust me you don't want to go down that road of taking it how you want it to be."
Please quote the scripture exactly as it is, including book, Chapter and verse...and then discussion can follow...based on exactly what the scripture has said. |

I need a God fearing man
|

No one should fear God, he's cool if you are. Numerous verses of scripture (Bible) command us to fear God. A few are quoted below: Deuteronomy 6:24 The Lord commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear the Lord our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, as is the case today. Psalm 2:11 Serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling. Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. Malachi 1:14 "For I am a great king," says the Lord Almighty, "and my name is to be feared among the nations." Luke 12:4-5 "I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. Revelation 14:6-7 Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth--to every nation, tribe, language and people. He said in a loud voice, "Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water." Revelation 15:4 Who will not fear you, O Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed." |

I need a God fearing man for serious relationship. Am Nigerian, but your country dont matter just add me up.. No faking pls My dear young lady, It appears you have not read that Nigerians are perceived/seen tagged as scammers and fraudsters!!! |

Hey guys, I don't know if you noticed but Mingle2 app is filled with hundreds if not thousands of fake Nigerian accounts of pretty (usually white women) created by nigerians and ghanaians. They would all like you, they would all match, but when you start talking to them you realize that all of them all non american, even if they tell that they were born in the States. Misspelled words and basic grammatical errors, uncapitalized names, give them away instantly. If their profile description says something like "god fearing women or men" that is a clear fake sign. Don't believe me? - try it yourself! Their english is shitty, all of them live with their sick moms or cousins that need financial assistance. They would even text you on your phone from a US phone #.They lack simple geography lessons of the United States. They don't know anything about the cities they are supposedly living in. Then they would tell you to use Yahoo messenger for chatting. This messenger is like 15 years old if not older, nobody uses it anymore in US. Please take a close look at the people that you talking to their accounts on here.Be very very careful and don't send them any money. Ask them to send you a photo of them with their nickname written on the piece of paper. It's not hard.Or ask them to take a photo in front of their house if they do live in US.Test them !! Its really not safe for people from US to talk to them. Since these guys are trying to get money from all honest users. Thank you.I hope this would save some of you from your hearts being broken by africans that lie everyday to all of us. Have a great one! You have your experiences, which nobody can contend with you about. But this almost sounds like you are placing a label of condemnation on every Nigerian. I state here that not all Nigerians are bad. There are also very good Nigerians! Your labeling is as good as calling every white skinned person a racist - that would not be true! All the best. |

If anyone wants to know more about Jesus, just message me and i will help you out. Trust me and him, He will therefore, bless you. One thing is certain... not EVERY post will go down well with every body. I think this is a personalized invitation to "...anyone who wants to know more about Jesus..." So, let anyone who is so interested in messaging the young man do so without others taking offence. This is my view. And whoever writes, also be careful. All the best to ALL. |

Why is this thread allowed here?/ It offends some of us!!! a lot of threads and a lot of comments offends different people for different reasons. if they disallowed all threads that offended, there wouldn't be a forum in existence at all. but i agree on one point that this topic is misplaced and is probably better off in either the Gen Religion or the Christian area... edited for: that is unless he is opening this thread in order to find a Dating and Relationships with someone who trusts him and Jesus... I thought the forum, "Christian Singles" is a Christian area! |
