Peace within yourself comes with age. One of the few nice things that comes with age. But life does get better. You learn over time not to get down on yourself, to take life as it comes, one day at a time. And to always keep your interests alive. You can get outside yourself by helping others. This poem is helping others already.

Dorgan served for 40 years! He was on the side of civil rights and is going to continue his efforts to achieve alternative energy. What have you done, besides throw mud everywhere you go?

You've picked one person out of this whole world to jump their bones, as par for the course. No, she didn't want the attention. She had to live with it after her life was plastered all over the media. She said she didn't want for it to happen this way. Find me one instance where she has said differently, and post your source.

Alright, I concede this one. It's the wrong thing to do. But I hope they do it really well. Imagine a democrat agreeing with a Republican? Well, there you have it Reps. I'll give you just this one.

I once had a leg removed to enter a one legged @$$ kickin' contest. Took first place!! Then I had it sewn back on.

Yeah, but it's all good fun.
Irony has it, the people who really are rotten, love it to be told so. It's what they were going for in the first place. If you really want to hurt them, just ignore them.

I'm saying, a whole group of people...men who stick around just long enough to get their rocks off, then split...or tell the woman to leave. Not that it's ever happened to me, nononono.

No, I didn't know that Aries. what an odd comparison...how is that different than the waste created from the production of any vehicle I wonder?

This is good Calleigh. I'll find my way back here when I'm not so tired. But trust me for now. Every down time has to be followed by a better way. Great poem, thanks!

Isn't anyone going to shut that guy up? Today I heard a commentator saying that Cheney is the first Vice President in history to proclaim to the world that our President is too weak to run the country. This is clearly an attempt to call on more trouble. Who is giving him all this airtime, anyway!?

I personally think Cheney seems like a grumpy senile man. HE wishes he had someone as intelligent as Barack to work with instead of daddys boy Bush.

I wish some of the people who think like he does would just get on an airbuss and go start their own idillic form of government. But wait, that won't work. They still need to have the rest of us to tromp on. Sure would be nice though. We could actually discuss issues without all the hacking and spitting.

Gosh I didnt hear a timeline in that speech and he still has three years,, so how are we defining a lie?.....accomplishments not attempted(cause that can be refuted) or accomplishments not yet achieved?,,,apparently the latter,,, so all those people who started out the year promising to loose that last ten pounds beware of the liar label until you accomplish your goal....

Not only that. He is no exception to the rule. All politicians espouse dreams as "promises". At least if you give this one a chance, you will see that he is sincere. Can you really expect them to be able to do all the things they say? They aren't comic book super heroes. They still have to swim in a sea of sharks and naysayers. Ah hem.

Kamrava was exceedingly successful in developing and implementing his new technique. But as with all scientific experiments gone awry, he accidentally created a monster. No one wanted for it to go this way. You know who the biggest monster is? The people who won't leave her the hell alone!!

This news is undoubtably fabricated by Fox.
They tell you what you think you want to hear.
How is it that one person can be blamed for what is a very complex problem? Come up with some better solutions and our brave new government will listen. OK, half of them will listen.

This one didn't have a print form, but I found it on the Rachel Maddow Show, msnbc. The Slovakian government planted 8 plastic explosives in the luggage of random passengers to see how tight its security would be. 7 of the 8 were detected by security measures, but one explosive made it all the way to Ireland. The Slovakian traveler was arrested at his home in Ireland as a potential terrorist and later released when they found out what had happened. Weird story, Rachel Maddow Rocks!

It's mind boggling I know. Numbers don't ever surprise me anymore. Just think. The cost of security and escorts just to bring little old Brittney Spears to the hospital costed 20,000! But oh we do love the drama. The trials will give us all a heads up. And the whole world will be watching. Let the heads roll..but let's give those bstrds some airtime first. Debating justice is a good thing.

Good topic, Rolland, thanks!
Oh, and no, I don't think so.
We always look back at the younger generation and say to ourselves,
Gee, I don't remember ever being that dumb, or that disinterested in learning. Oh yeah, you were.
