Although of little interest to the northern hemisphere, down here it is the 22 of February. This marks the 30th anniversary of the death of my wife, who died this day 1983.  You must of loved her very much. My best regards and friendship...

Since it's not BBQ it hardy matters if you are in Houston this weekend...but it was
tiny shrimp, celery, red pepper, fresh garlic, asparagus stirfried and served on a quinoa/brown rice combo. Disgustingly healthy but delicious. My butt thanks me. |

Today I am having terrible heartache at having to decline cook-off invitations. It's OPENING DAY and I will be eating chicken at home instead of BBQ!
I know it's the right thing to do for my ankle but..... WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

there is a big difference between a crawdad and a crawfish. just be sure you check 'em before you eat 'em.  ESPECIALLY if you are gonna pull the head off! (Cuz the male ones are EMPTY! Hahahahahahaha!)  |

They're the same type of animal so maybe they taste the same?  Crawfish are yummy...kinda sweet and flavorful. You can buy crawfish tails already cleaned - just the meat- in the frozen fish section and use them in lots of yummy dishes. I never lived anyplace where they were available like that before and I really like them...they run a very close race with shrimp! |

Let me think about it, Houston has BBQ crab and that's just wrong... And SHRIMP (that was yesterday) and CRAWFISH! But I followed the taco with veggies, tzatsiki and hummus. It's kind of an international day! |

good to see you both got the story straight after "only two" skinnyritas Haha! Carol NEVER has more than two!   the salmon was wonderful. did u eat ur shrimp?? Yes, I did...two lovely shrimp, watercress, avocado, sliced tomatoes and YUM! Today I'm having leftover spaghetti squash and homemade marinara before taking off for PT. Ciao, peeps! |
