{color=maroon] There have also been some good mainstream horror films. One of the best (to me) is The Descent. However, I also felt that The Ring was done well (I know Ringu is probably better, but eh...I have a thing for Naomi Watts so hush! Lol)Let Me In was also a good horror flick. I do agree that all the bad mainstream horror films do outweigh the good ones. For instance, I feel the Paranormal Activity films have done more harm than good to horror films. But, when you can make a film for $5 million and have that movie make over $100 million then studios will keep giving us more of those films. Still, there are some good mainstream horror films out there.

And Let The Right One In is even better than the remake, but the remake is outstanding. Yep Ringu is better, so is Ringu 2, and Ringu 0: Birthday.

But I do agree, there's definitely good ones getting released, you just need to dig through all the crap.
That's what us Cinephiles do!!!

I watched that on a double bill with The Legend Of Boggey Creek.

I have it on Blu Ray double featured with Galaxina, it cost me about $2. They did an amazing job with the transfer.
Talk about picture quality- Laser discs had some stunning transfers!

Prison and Deadly Spawn both deserve more credit!

I think Prison is the best of the executed killer comes back for revenge flicks that popped up back then (Shocker, The Horror Show, Destroyer, Nightmare Beach, The Chair)

there was another with denzel washington where he was trying to catch someone he had arrested before, and was now a virtual criminal...

Wasn't it Virtuosity?
Yes it was directed by Brett Leonard

If you like Ti West check out Trigger Man. The Theatre Bizzare is cool also and no Ti West didn't make it!

I also liked Ti's first film- The Roost. Even Cabin Fever 2 was decent.
Agreed, The Roost had great atmoshere and was creepy. How can you not like Cabin Fever 2?

Fun horror compilation, though unlike what it says on the cover art these aren't 20 of the scariest movies in horror, but as a kid in the 80's it helped introduce me to films outside of the mainstream.

This was cool I also enjoyed watching This is Horror and Mad Ron's Previews From Hell both of which introduced me to alot of great Horror movies!
