Right now it's still considered 'rumored' but Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Anthony Daniels are supposedly going to reprise their roles.

would be awesome if they all did but all the action stuff would have to be CGIed cause they're all way too old to be doing action stuff laugh

I just hope they don't try to squeeze Carrie Fisher into the Slave outfit.

Come on people!!! Disney owns this franchise now. Maybe you'll get "Star Wars, Land of the Ewoks," or maybe "Star Wars Rise of the Gungans." What we do know is that it will be fully catered to selling toys, videos, games and merchandise (even more so than in Space Balls).

Just don't get your hopes up to high, because while the CGI will be fantastic, the aim will be to entertain children, not adults, that is just what Disney does.

I'm going to be honest. I don't want to see Ford, Hamill, Fisher or Daniels in these new films. I want something fresh and new.

Lucas has been doing that all along. Which is why we got 2 Ewok movies, Saturday morning cartoons, and an endless line of tie in toys going back to the 70's. Lucas created an empire based solely on toys aimed for kids. Ewoks were created for kids, Jar Jar was created for kids. Puzzles, lunch boxes, Holiday special, blankets, pajamas, curtains, coloring books... and the list goes on at the merchandise Star Wars has put out.

Watch the documentary The People VS George Lucas. One of the many complaints Lucas got(even more so with his new trilogy) was how he aimed it more for kids(especially The Phantom Menace)

disney certainly can't ruin star wars any worse then lucas did with the prequels.

I am hopeful that JJ Abrams will have a tremendous amount of input into how these next films will look, feel, and the overall type of story they will tell. I loved what he did with Star Trek by focusing in on when the crew of the Enterprise came to exist as such. I'm not sure how it played to the hardcore Trekkies out there, but for me it was a fresh looking film that revitalized the Trek name.

I can't see any point in bringing back the old stars to reprise their roles as leads in the films. A minor role? Sure. As a fan, I would love to see the oldies make a screen appearance. Focus on new characters and make sure that Jar Jar Binks is nowhere to be found.

If Ford's old wrinkly balls are in this I'll be skipping it for sure.

Out with the old in with some new stuff. And please can they get people who can act? Disney better not fuc this up for the nerds, they haven't been laid in, like, ever. This is all they know. bigsmile

Disney will do well. I trust the writers.

In an interview with Mel Brooks, he said he could never raise enough money to do a sequel to Spaceballs; perhaps NOW is the time to start taking up collections and send him the money!!! OH, PLEASE make that sequel!!!
(ummm, perhaps not such a bad idea....)
