It is my feeling that to post the names of fallen servicemen here is
asking for someone to disgrace what they gave thier lives for. It
doesn't matter who sent them to do what, it matters that some people
have no respect for those who gave it all in order for us to have the
freedoms we do. Fanta this is not aimed towards you, it is aimed at
those who feel opinionated enough to bring politics into a thread of
honorable intentions.

Memorial day is a day of remembrance for the fallen, to attack this
memory is an attack on the freedoms we seem to take for granted.

To the servicemen who gave it all I salute you.

It seems I see this every year,
and to this day it brings a tear.
I stand my own ground it's hard and fast,
To soldiers of ours my words will last.

I give to them, my word as friend,
I speak for truth, straight to the end.
I'm no soldier, but know it's true,

Anticipations

Waiting,
Holding unknown feelings,
Seeing dreams,
Talking of love,
Watching a smile grow,
Touching,
Feeling,
Holding,
Unknowing.

Anticipation of a coming storm seems to be all I see this morning. I see
how the clouds form and roll in the winds. Watching them form, and
wondering if I will see any familiar shapes. Will I see a rabbit hop out
at me, or a pair of lips puckered up for that kiss? The colors of these
clouds are ever-changing almost as fast as the shapes. The hues start
from a deep twilight purple, slowly turning a deep red at sunrise, and
as the horizon becomes brighter it begins to turn orange. As they change
I try to anticipate what color will be next, camera in hand, waiting to
take the perfect picture.

While I am watching the horizon I am reminded of my past. I remember how
my life changed over the years. Beginning years ago with no feelings I
relate to the blackness before the sunrise. I watched the colors change
over the years, and see how my life progressed to where it is today. The
colors of my life seem to mean little at the time, however as I look at
the entire formation of twists and turns I wonder what will be tomorrow.
What colors will my sunset be? How will my clouds form? What storms will
I weather?

Anticipations of this storm is all I wish to see. Waiting for new
formations of clouds are my deepest desires. Dreaming of life and of the
storm clouds are one in the same. I anticipate the setting of the sun as
I anticipate the colors we will both become.

What do you anticipate?

Once again upon this morn,
I feel the coming of a storm.
As I woke to the phone,
Soon this love will feel home.

Wide awake I am right now,
So my friends I tell you how.
When I waken from this dream,
I will hold you in the stream.

Streams of lights, and desires,
Holding now a passions fire.

Friends don't fade away, they do become happy memories though. A picture
still hangs on my wall that a friend gave me, it reminds me of the great
times we had together and much more. Memories worth keeping are worth
remembering.
