Skeptic On Love
By Katie (9-2000) In the silence I sit and murmur to myself This must be wonderful, It must be grand As I envy a couple walking Hand and hand Twisted fate hath sent me here To die alone and wallow with fear When shall love light my heart When my mind has strayed Or when death do we part The organ breathes with blood Yet this is what symbolizes love Hate a dagger and peace a dove Stranger still is how we sleep Wrapped in blankets we dream And these dreams do seep Into our minds how life should be Princesses, ponies, and puppies of three Yet what of the nightmares What terrors await us when we crawl into bed Screaming from hell and into your head But these are not the visions of lovers Or children tucked safely under woolen covers Only for the skeptics, the sinners, and others Do these dreams blacken dreadfully Once it was thought that love was a sin But now the loveless seldom do win Those who do not have one to have and to hold Must be rejected poor souls who wind up tired and old A carriage passes me and I turn my head A bride and a groom blushing red Two doves above tear at my heart As I sit alone with no where to start This must be wonderful, It must be grand To have someone to sit and hold my hand |

Never assume my poetry displays my current disposition or my particular
view. The view of this poem is that of a skeptic on love. Written in September, 2000. |

I’ve never known love
I’ve heard many say that love is the purpose of life makes me wonder why I bother to live at all money can’t buy you love but that doesn’t mean that it’s free it simply means that you can’t make it happen love is like lightening you either get struck or you don’t and there’s not much a person can do to cause the lightening to strike |

Abra, that is a prime example of a skeptic on love.
However, I doubt this view is your own outlook on love. A man with mind in physics & science knows better how lightning works. ![]() |

I think he is just asking to get zapped.

Loving someone is easy.
Finding someone who wants to be loved is a whole differnet story. |

Whether this was written today or 10 yrs ago it is still a fine piece of
work. ![]() ![]() G |

Thank you Gryphyn
Abra...staying on the topic at hand I see. ![]() There are so many different levels love can be viewed upon. Break it down into a matter of protons, electrons & nuetrons...the theory of attraction is simple. Yes, waiting to get zapped...LMAO. Perhaps you need a bigger lightning rod, no pun intended. Hugs abra! You know I am just joking! |

A bigger lightening rod?
Hmmmm? Maybe I shouldn't be deleting all those spam emails I get huh? |
