McCain is quite different from Bush. He's much more liberal.

Here's the problem.. trying to get a date or get a job or convince someone to buy something from you... all those things tend to cause us to act differently: We are trying to impress somebody. Everything we say and do is internally filtered to try to present the best image/thoughts about us.

The problem is, that's not who you really are. It's easier to meet new people at random when you really could care less. That's when you are more likely to speak your mind and say how you really feel and talk how you usually talk.. because you really don't care if someone likes you or not.

The cool thing is, when you make friends like that, it means they accept you for just being you, and those are the best friendships. Don't you want the same for your relationships?

This is why they guys who act like a$$holes always seem to have women all over them. It's not because all of the women are stupid (they might be being naive and ignoring the warning signs, but not usually stupid), it's because those guys seem more real to them. They don't feel like they are being hit on, and the guy seems more natural and more honest, although it's usually more likely that the guy is just more comfortable with lying than most of us.

So, my suggestion? Hang out with some women that you are not interested in having an intimate relationship with. It's about making good friends, not finding a lover. This is good for several reasons.. 1 - You have something to do with your time so you aren't just sitting around crying in your beer all the time, 2 - you are working on your social skills. Social skills are very attractive to women, generally speaking, 3 - you'll find that friendship is a requirement of having a good relationship.. you should love yourself and have the love and respect of friends before you go out and try to find a woman to love, and finally 4 - Friends have other friends and they meet other people.. good friends will become great talent scouts looking for the perfect woman for you, because they can see things that you can't -- about yourself and about potential women for you..

I think that sex education in public schools should be limited to the scientific discussion of reproductive organs. Opinions about sexual orientation and/or perversions and/or abstinence is the responsibility of the family. Just because so many families choose not to take that responsibility doesn't mean that I want strangers cramming thoughts about sex down my children's throat at any age.

Being afraid of anything is wrong to me, and a socialist mentality. If anything, Republicans are only helping Liberals by teaching fear. There is always a more appropriate response to a difficult situation than being afraid.

As far as teaching creationism, there is no more proof of the viability of evolution then there is of creationism. I think neither should be taught as absolute fact, but each should be taught as popular opinions. But that's an entirely different topic, isn't it?

Just a note.. pretty much every wednesday night, a group of us (age 25-65) go dancing out at the Sky Lounge in Ballwin for anybody that's interested.

It's a nice group and we always have a lot of fun!
