50 years ago? people REALLY wouldn't care if a young unarmed black man was shot,,,,,,they would barely care if he was found hung,,,,50 years ago? our great black leaders who spoke out were ASSASSINATED

,,,,much has happened, this man has been there through the progress that has been made and his voice, however unwelcomed it is by some, and that voice has caused spotlights on situations that would otherwise be swept under a rug or minimalized

Used to like to do it in school
now I do it in car
in shower
I do it in kitchen
and while cleaning my house

You name to yourself
on paper if you gotta
ten good qualities about yourself
stare at dat mutha f-cker til it becomes a mantra and you know it
by heart

Oh and what if your fella gets all caught up in the moment and doesn't pull out like he promised....possible welcome to pregnancy.

Tips to appear more powerful and confident

Confidence. People tend to equate it with power and ability. Both tend to be attractive qualities for people, at least in the short term.

So how do you show it when you don’t feel it? Well more recently in the psychological research literature, academics have been testing the idea of ‘fake it until you make it’. The idea is that if you pretend that you have it, eventually you will trick your brain (and others) into believing it.

A recent landmark experiment showed that if you do some power poses in the loo before a job interview – it seems to trick your brain into thinking that you are confident. This confidence comes across in your voice and posture and voila! you are perceived by the interviewer as being more confident and more ‘hireable’.

So our advice – give it a go on your dates. Here are the steps:

Strike a pose. High power = open and expansive.
Standing with chest puffed out and hands behind your head or on your hips.
Sitting upright with your chest open, shoulders back. Hands can be beside you or behind your head. Legs open. Take up as much space as you can.
Then think about your date and how well it is going to go.
Hold the pose (and the positive thoughts) for 7 minutes.

Ok - Ok...repeating something that a few of us just aren't getting {can't connect your dots unless you give a point/fact/link} EXPLAIN yourself, PLEEEEASE?

You just keep stating the same thing; and the redundancy has now been established...why do you claim/feel/state that the NAACP has "TRANSFORMED"...I'm not seeing it - hearing it - reading it?

The local chapter in Johnson County - our largest chapter in the state of KS is headed by a college buddy of mine - he's bi-racial; has an Korean Administrative Asst. and many white folks working in his office {yes, WHITE is a color too}...fill in the blanks for me if you could.
