The only 'fair tax' is one that doesn't penalize the middle class.
the only fair tax is every citizen paying the same percentage as the next. Everyone should be taxed the same on every item that they purchase, not get money back they didn't pay in because they wouldnt motivate themselves to earn more

I disagree.

The middle class pays more in proportion to their income than the wealthy.

Nothing fair or equitable about that.
so why are you disagreeing with me? Did you even read what I wrote, or did you just see what you wanted to see.

Yes, I did read it. All of it.

'Everyone should be taxed the same'

Also, 'they wouldnt motivate themselves to earn more'.

Ridiculous, how can they earn more when they are already taxed to death?
it isn't my problem if someone does not desire to be more in life than a local clerk. entry level jobs are there for students to learn the work force, not support a family on. If you chose to not get an education, and better yourself that is your right, but I shouldnt have to pay you to do it. "earned income credit", it is nothing more than theft. they take money from me every year and force me to sponsor a family I have never met. Why is your plight my problem and vice versa? You live here the same as I. You use the roads the same as I do, and you use the public services just like me. If I get taxed 69% on my dollar, so should you. Nobody handed me anyhting, why should I be forced to hand it to someone else.. You know what that is called? It is called SOCIALISM

And what we have now is WELFARE FOR THE WEALTHY.

Why should I subsidize some rich guy?
you shouldn't and agree you didn't read what I wrote. You are talking like I want status quo. I have no desire for anyone to utilize loopholes.

that is the most feeble rebuttle I have ever heard in my life. I do not have to justify anything I have done in my life to you, or anyone else. How fricken conceited are you. I am pretty gosh darn successful. I have a very successful business, I have great friends, and I can have anything tangible I desire. You make it sound as if these kids are bad kids because of childhood antics, I got news for you maybe you should have had some yourself. Jury of their peers my azz

What did you do as a senior that you didn't get punished for, but should have?
nothing, these people were born senior citizens

the point here is being held accountable for your actions, something that Ive read time and again (on this site and others) people complaining is sorley missing today.
People do things and then whine and mope (or get a lawyer) till they get out of having to take responsibility for what they did.
There are ways of enjoying childhood that do not include disrespecting the people around you.
huh
being held accountable is far different from robbing people of a once in a lifetime occurrance. Make them clean up the ceremony mess, give them some kind of punishment, but this is nothing more than a power trip. I am not saying to not hold them accountable, but this is far from a reaonable response. Hell there are thieves who get less punishment than this

wow, I thought I was a harsh person. I threw bisuits on police cars, as well as moon pies as they passed by. I used to take musical greeting cards apart and hide the internals in a teachers desk so it would aggravate them all day. I put shaving cream under the door handles of their cars, vaselined doorknobs, vaselined toilet seats, put pingpong balls in the toilets, itching powder in the toilet paper, and put plastic wrap over the toilet, and under the toilet seat. Yes, I deserved the firing squad for my "disresepct" as a child. Worse that ever happened to me was a paddling from the principal. You guys strive to make people grow up too fast, and take a period of time away from them that they will never be able to relive. I cannot believe you guys are so harsh about childhood mishchief that doesnt create any bodily harm
You're serious? OMG laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh
f'ing a right I am serious

As long as we're on the subject of weight...

Many men (and a lot of women as well) have a very unrealistic view of what is considered to be "average."

As of the CDC's 2002 National Health Statistics reporting here they are:

Height: 5'3.8"
Weight: 163 (read: size 12-14 depending on the manufacturer)

Thus, when a woman who is 180 or 185 puts average she isn't lying.

The unrealistic perception of womens' bodies is not a pet peeve of mine or anything is it?

As of the Thomas27 2008 National weight statistics, my reports say the national average is about 5'5" 130ish or a hair more. 180 or 185 is a few extra pounds and 200+ is heavyset.

2002 has come and gone dear! My view is real in my eyes and not completely irrational, thus making it pretty realistic.

Sorry, I only went to the government's website on quick notice. We all know just how concerned our government is with doing anything in a timely manner.

I'm only speaking for myself and what I see and think when I read a profile. I don't base my thoughts off national statistic poles that I never took part in.

We always appreciate those who have learned to think for themselves.

Rob, when are you changing your pic back?
back to what?

the rest of you people claim to want to teach responsibility, but I think you are just jealous. Jealous of a kid being a kid, and forgetting that their childhood essentially ends with graduation. They have plenty of time to go work meaningless

what the kids did was wrong. they attacked their teachers without thought to who they were doing it to or for the consequences of their actions..this has nothing to do with "kids will be kids", if they had done it to each other and a teacher didnt like it then I'd agree with the statement above. You teach responsibility by holding people accountable for their actions. These kids broke the rules now they have to pay the price. Its just that simple...

Teacher no longer love the children they teach it seems, and have lost their passion for the job they supposedly love. You wonder why kids snap? That kind of pressure is unreasonable, and selfish of an adult in that position
Wow...you got me. When you put it that way I can't disagree. Now I feel bad. frown

Anyone aiming at a teacher would have been strung up in my school, and in my fathers house too. Am I stuck in the way of thinking that I always resented as a child? OMG! I suppose I am jealous. flowerforyou
sorry you had an oppressive childhood.
