Outside Abbey Gate, I doubt they had more than a couple feet of space to work in, and that's how one suicide bomber killed hundreds of people. No reports say the bomber identified himself before detonating his device. Didn't wear the device outside his clothes. Didn't show anyone his detonator. Nothing. What are the Marines to do?

I think you misread the situation. The US is not at war with Russia, and is only sending support to Ukraine while still working diplomatically with both. The US has supported Russia's enemies since the 40s as Russia has supported the enemies of the US. Up until invading Ukraine, the US was still buying Russian oil and minerals. Imposing sanctions is meant to show Russia that it's not to their benefit to invade sovereign nations.

1. Trump's insulin cap was only for government-run clinics in economically disadvantaged communities, and most of those patients already got their medicine for free. The program was canceled because it was too hard to use and never fully implemented after so many years.
2. You completely mischaracterize how military aid to Ukraine gets approved. Most of it requires bills from Congress, and while MTG and Gaetz were kissing Trump's & Putin's toes to stop everything, Biden could only do so much. But go ahead and tell us why you're all-of-a-sudden in favor of giving Ukraine everything they want, regardless of what Trump says? I'm glad that you've come around to seeing that Russian threats of nuclear weapons was nonsense.
3. Biden's EO to close the border is not nothing, and it's not like Trump's wall was doing all that much. Trump admits he killed the bipartisan border deal. He never got enough funding for his wall, and wound up illegally diverting funds from the military. If his wall was so great, then why not convince Congress to pay for it, and now he wants to kill the deal so that he can revive it if he gets back into office--taking credit for everyone else's hard work.

Like you have no time, and are looking for a mate because getting a dog would be cruel. Seriously, just someone to say "good morning" and "good night?" That seems dreadful, but maybe there are women in New Brunswick who are looking for exactly that, or into the challenge of expanding your lifestyle.

Don't know where you got that conclusion, but it's clearly not from the article or Kelly's book. Here's a key paragraph that lays it out:

Also, what makes you think the Afghanistan withdrawal was bungled? Because the suicide bomber killed a hundred people? Because equipment worth $billions was left behind? Maybe you forget that the US military extracted 120,000+ people and left equipment that would've taken years and tens of $billions more than it's worth to remove, and most of it was broken or obsolete, anyway. And stopping suicide bombers is nearly impossible outside the most controlled situations (Ask me how I know).

Naval movements are independent of the war in Ukraine, and the US Navy has tracked adversaries forever. And that naval base in Cuba has been around since before Castro.


It's not theft. It's war reparations. Russian invaded Ukraine and targeted civilians. If Ukraine now needs to spend on their national defense, then there's no better source for the money than Russian funds. Hopefully it'll cause Russia to rethink their actions--but probably won't.


Bible prophecy? I think you misunderstand the situation. The war in Ukraine is only a world war in as much as the war in Vietnam was a world war. Russia invaded Ukraine, and the USA has an interest in stability in Europe, and considers Ukraine an ally. Sending weapons to an ally is normal.

Also, I do follow veteran matters, as I'm a veteran myself, and while I am in favor of a 19.5% pay raise over the regular 5.5%, I can see where people trying to balance the budget may want something less, but whatever. Remember that 9/11 happened partly because the Bush Administration ignored the intelligence reports calling out Bin Laden's impending attack. It was the Obama Administration who finally got Bin Laden, years after Bush gave up.

As far as Trump being good to the military, I never saw it. Sure, pay raises came with the cost of living increases, but that happens with every presidential administration. Maybe I don't see the decline because I just live in the country and see what's around me. Unemployment levels are at their lowest in my lifetime. I drive to work on fairly crowded freeways and shop in stores and malls that are also crowded. Things are obviously going well. Record profit levels are driving up inflation, too, but that's being worked on, and this Administration actually has courses of action in the works, unlike the last guy who mostly just promised "beautiful" plans to come in "two weeks." But feel free to share your source for the "1/3" statistic you keep citing.

Biden has helped unify European defenses from Russia and strengthened NATO, including adding two new member nations. It's actually brilliant. He totally outplayed Putin in the weeks leading up to the invasion by exposing Putin before he actually invaded.

As far as Russia calling the US their enemy, that's been going on for more than 60 years, and thanks to the intelligence gathered from the war in Ukraine, nobody in the US military or State Department is all that alarmed by Russia. Heightened alert? More like amused interest and cheerleading.
