I've always wanted to have my own ranch, go back to what I grew up doing.

I have the opportunity to & am about to buy 1300 acres, with an option to buy an additional 2600 acres, in SE Colorado & so that I can raise a few horses & a sh*t load of sheep to raise for lamb.

If I do this, my brother & his family are moving out ther with me, as well as a couple of my cousins and thier families in the future as things get bigger.

Most of my family are behind me, but I'm starting to get cold feet I guess, or at least nervous about it.

So I guess I'm wondering what everyone elses opinion is, I'm told I shouldn't care about other opinions just to follow my dream. But strangers are more honest than friends & family...they dont have to worry about hurting feelings...lol.

Please drop in your opinions. Yes I'm asking for it!

Depends on the girl, you don't want her to think your too clingy. But at the same time you want to make sure she knows she is wanted. Its a tough call sometimes.

I read them, A pic doesnt tell what a person is about or who they really are.

I just wish more people filled thier profiles out.

Your think there would I agree, but the Bible is not assembled in cronological order either, the book of Job is actually written long before the book of Genesis. Its a possibility that the dinosaurs died off after job was written & before the next book was penned down.

Yes you should be able to tell them, as long as you both have trust. But I agree with rocketman, there could be consequences if you are wrong about the trust level.

Personally I believe its the guys duty to pay, especially on Valintines Day. To me Valentines day is for showing your girl how much you truly care for her, and that you want to care for her. I personally dont expect anything from her.

I have an honest question for religious people

According to my Bible -- and everyone else -- God created the earth and all living things on it.

How do we explain dinsaurs? There is no mention of them in the bible I read, yet we have physical evidence that they did exist.

I am not trying to start anything so please keep it civil, I'm just asking an honest question.

There is evidence in the bible of dinosours. They are mentioned in the book of Job, in the old testament.

Chapter 40:15-24 it describes the Bronotsaurous
Chapter 41:1-34 speaks of a large animal called the Levithan, today we would call it a dragon, that lives both in water & on land, the interesting point is that in verse 18-21 it speaks of the Levithan breathing fire.

Makes you think....

But saying that, there are times I wish I didn't cut my hair off...lol. I needed a more professional look for work, that was my reason. Be true to yourself & your circumstances.

i think shorter hair is seen as more conservative, with shorter hair you'll attract more a more conservative type of woman. longer hair usually attracts the wilder ones.

From experiance I agree with Mollie, whenI had longer hair, the girls were more of the party sort, with the more conservative look I have now the girls are more business types or should I say they are more of the settled down types. Most girls that go for the guys with the conservative look tend to be more ready for a LTR than the party sort are. But thats just my opinion.

Add info to your profile that you think someone might ask, or answer the questions that you might ask someone else by putting them in the profile. Talk about your hobbies, etc. Stuff like that.

Willie I wouldn't say you are gullible but you certainly sound a little naive.

Guys get these kinds of emails and offers ALL THE TIME.

Just two in two months? You should feel neglected. My spam filter gets rid of most of these offers but if I go into my "bulk mail" folder on yahoo or excite or hotmail I'll find dozens per week. Heck I can buy the fake rolex watches, order up some generic viagra, get the millions waiting for me in Nigeria, then REALLY impress that Russian babe waiting to jump into my arms.

Be happy you're not on enough lists yet to be swamped by those idiots, or that your spam filter is doing it's job.

As far a email, I see about 6000 of these spam scams a day. So I do know about them. I am an Email Systems & Internet Security Administrator for a med-large company in MI. I was just wondering if there was something about my profile specifically that might be attracting these scams.

Growing up down south I am used to both, never really liked either, but they dont bother me at the same time.

If I were to choose, I'd prefer snakes over spiders I guess.

I was found on Yahoo by a Russian scam artist. We corresponded for two months before she asked for money. I actually found out it was a scam before she asked but I played the part to see how far it would go. I had set up a myspace account in he name and used her picture in the profile. My intentions were to use the transfer ownership to her and we could use the I.M. feature. However, other guys started messaging the account because they were also corresponding with her. I'd let them know what the deal was, and converted the profile to an informational page on this paticular scam artist. Then when she asked for money I shoved proof in her face that she is lying and that 5other guys now knew about it. It felt good to stick it to her a little.

I would have never have even thought of that, kudos to you!!

Hell in a hand basket, I can agree with that.
One of ther reasons I am changing professions & going back to ranching, what I grew up doing.

But there isnt anything in my profile that makes me sounds like a lonely desperate target for a scam is there?

I mean geez, 2 times in 2 months? And so far its been the only persons that have been "interested" (and I say that loosely) in even emailing me...lol. Yes I know that is sad...lol.

Before I get to the questions, here is some background...

A month ago on another site, I got an email from a girl that ended up being from Russia. Emails were going nice for a few weeks, she wanted to come visit the US & had already made her plans. Then one weekend, all of the sudden she didnt have teh money to come to the US till I sent her $1000. When I told her I couldn't becuase every spare penny I have is wrapped up in a new business venture, well lets just say I never heard from her again.

Today I got a new email from a different that said something like... "For starters I'm actually from Russia, I only list as being from Michigan becuase the site will not allow me to say I'm from outside the USA, I just wanted you to know the truth."

I see people on here all the time from Canada, so I tend not to believe that and am very causious now, I dont want to say I dont want to talk to her becuase she is outside the US, but since what happened before, I dont want to waste my time either, and I wrote her just that.

But lets assume for a minute thats its another scam...
1. Do I really look that gullable, that I could get sucked into such a scam?
2. I do feel that I am ready to meet someone & settle down with the right one, but does that make me look desperate?
2a. What is in my profile that makes me sound desperate if thats the case, I wrote it trying to be open & to give a hint of the type of person I am?
