I met an amazing boy on here back in early November last year and we decided to offically start dating a month ago. The hardest part is that we live on two completely different sides of the U.S. Yet, we don't mind at all and still love eachother. There's no physical connection between us, but an emotional one. Which is far more important than anything I could ever ask for.
On Valentines day, his kidney stones were causing such pain to his body that it resulted in a shock that gave him a heart attack. He's only 19 years old. His condition has been changing back and forth for the last week and my only connection to his condition is through his dad.
His dad doesn't like us being together though because they have never met me and I wasn't able to be at the hospital with him. I just bought a plane ticket yesterday to fly over there to see him this coming tuesday. I'm basically putting myself in debt and will probably have to drop out of college for a few quarters so that I can pay it all back; and once I'm out of college I lose my health insurance. I'm giving up work time, college, health care and possibly my parents trust just to be there for my boyfrien. Now his dad won't reply to me and is basically trying to shut me out completely and break us apart.
He said he doesn't want his only son to get hurt. I understand that but to try and shut me out of his son's life while he is going through a rough time? That doesn't sound like he really cares that much because the one person his son wanted to call after he woke up in the hospital was me and his dad is basically saying he doesn't care what his son wants.
I don't know what to do. Please help me understand why his dad wants to keep me from seeing him and how I can possibly still go over there and meet him.
