wow.... i was raised super-religious, and it never resonated within me. finding that religion did not make any true sense to me,,,was a gradual, painful thing. I do understand. I am still working through the damage it has done to me. But life is so much better without it. If I had only known then what I know now. ![]() I don`t feel wronged by my upbringing, because my parents taught me about honor, fair-play, self respect, and the golden rule (thanks mom and dad, for the good work ethic teachings, too!). My parents were very old-school but never abusive. I had read the bible as a child and had a lot of time to think about it. More thinking and living just led to the inability to believe. Life is freakin precious! i try to live as if this is the only life i`ll have (because i think it is!) |

I totally understand the logic that the spirit is more important than the flesh and I understand the desire of some to save the spirit by killing the flesh but I dont agree with it, ah, yes, that`s their thought process. too bad some can`t let a person be in charge of their own spirit. it`s truly terrible that these things go on. piled on top of all the other chit that goes on in this world. |

who mentioned all the planets?
this globe has warmed and cooled so much in the years of its existence. who said humans would be the last to inhabit this planet? as the earth warms, life will endure,,,,just a different type. we are destined to become extinct, no big surprise there. |

i don`t think the race issue will end,, it`s too ingrained, into too many. some can see people as they are, and some will remain brainwashed. love, love and brotherhood is wonderful. beautiful kids? yes, lovely. we must learn to view the plain as beautiful, as well.

Everybody knows that the dice are loaded
Everybody rolls with their fingers crossed Everybody knows that the war is over Everybody knows the good guys lost Everybody knows the fight was fixed The poor stay poor, the rich get rich That's how it goes Everybody knows Everybody knows that the boat is leaking Everybody knows that the captain lied Everybody got this broken feeling Like their father or their dog just died Everybody talking to their pockets Everybody wants a box of chocolates And a long stem rose Everybody knows Everybody knows that you love me baby Everybody knows that you really do Everybody knows that you've been faithful Ah give or take a night or two Everybody knows you've been discreet But there were so many people you just had to meet Without your clothes And everybody knows Everybody knows, everybody knows That's how it goes Everybody knows Everybody knows, everybody knows That's how it goes Everybody knows And everybody knows that it's now or never Everybody knows that it's me or you And everybody knows that you live forever Ah when you've done a line or two Everybody knows the deal is rotten Old black joe's still pickin' cotton For your ribbons and bows And everybody knows And everybody knows that the plague is coming Everybody knows that it's moving fast Everybody knows that the naked man and woman Are just a shining artifact of the past Everybody knows the scene is dead But there's gonna be a meter on your bed That will disclose What everybody knows And everybody knows that you're in trouble Everybody knows what you've been through From the bloody cross on top of calvary To the beach of malibu Everybody knows it's coming apart Take one last look at this sacred heart Before it blows And everybody knows Everybody knows, everybody knows That's how it goes Everybody knows Oh everybody knows, everybody knows That's how it goes Everybody knows Everybody knows |

Pearls and swine bereft of me long and weary my road has been i was lost in the cities alone in the hills no sorrow or pity for anything i feel yea i am not your rolling wheels i am the highway i am not your carpet ride i am the sky friends and liars don't wait for me i'll get on all by myself put millions of miles under my heels and still too close to you i feel i am not your rolling wheels i am the highway i am not your carpet ride i am the sky i am not your blowing wind i am the lightning i am not your autumn moon i am the night the night i am not your rolling wheels i am the highway i am not your carpet rag i am the sky i am not your blowing wind i am the lightining i am not your autumn i am the night |

The wall on which the prophets wrote
Is cracking at the seams. Upon the instruments of death The sunlight brightly gleams. When every man is torn apart With nightmares and with dreams, Will no one lay the laurel wreath As silence drowns the screams. Between the iron gates of fate, The seeds of time were sown, And watered by the deeds of those Who know and who are known; Knowledge is a deadly friend When no one sets the rules. The fate of all mankind I see Is in the hands of fools. Confusion will be my epitaph. As I crawl a cracked and broken path If we make it we can all sit back And laugh. But I fear tomorrow I'll be crying, Yes I fear tomorrow I'll be crying. Epitaph by King Crimson |

to the topic,,,all i can say is...
i`ve heard so much shi* spoken about so many races of people, by so many other races of people,,,,all i can do is walk away and stay away. i can`t make windows into people`s minds to know if they are truly bigoted or not (regardless of ties w/others). but i can tell a loving, decent person from a jacka**, and i form relationships accordingly. |

So you all know I am staying in this fancy hotel because of the flood at the condo and I have State Farm. Does anybody else do this when they stay in a nice hotel, happy sad glad mad, I take a hot shower and use a fresh soft fluffy towel. I mean I bought my own Dove body wash and poofy but I feel like I must use those fluffy towels and take advantage of the sparking clean tub and endless hot water. Like it's compulsory. Anybody else do that?? Just curious. Wooooo, yes! Enjoy! |
