Fact no other president has done this. I have no idea what he is going to say. I am concerned as I would be if it were any president. Children cannot grasp politics fully most adults have issues doing the same(myself included). It reminds me of how some dictators have done in other countries. I hope I am wrong. Maybe as with anything adults should watch first then decide. Both Presidents George Bush and Ronald Reagan both gave speeches aimed specifically at students that were nationally televised. In 1989, Bush delivered a televised anti-drug speech, and Reagan's 1986 commencement speech and Q&A session was "beamed over public television into 171 school districts," according to the L.A. Times.

Obama is racist. Its a sad thing when people belive only a white man can be racist. All races have people in them that are racists. I've seen no evidence that shows that Obama is a one. Btw, do you think he is racist to his white grandparents that raised him and his white mother? He has made racist statements, that is for sure. The police officer is a prime example of prejudice. He assumed because the police officer was white and the professor black, that his race was an issue even after admitting he did not know the facts. That, is a racist statement any way you look at it. prejudice based on race = racism whether black, white, or brown. The sad part is that if I had made a similar statement with the colors reversed, I'd have been lynched for it. With him, only Fox reported on it from my knowledge. That situation was told on all of my news stations. They covered it quite thoroughly. I didn't consider it to be racist. He admitted that he was speaking only about the information that he had. He has worked with the issue of racial profiling in the past. We are not black. We've never walked in their shoes to know what that feels like. Whether we know what it's like or not, it's still a racist statement. I don't consider him to be a full-on racist either, but that is a racist statement. You are presuming to know what he was thinking when he said it, no? He made it clear after that remark that he though arresting the man was overkill. You assume he was thinking about race when he very well could have been thinking about the embarrassing arrest of someone he knew, even after the man proved who he was. I don't want to get into that argument again and you can continue to think it was a racist remark but I would never have assumed that just because he is part black himself.

racism is alive and well, in this country and all over the world. and guess what, white people don't have the market cornered on it. Far from it. I grew up in a highly "diverse" neighborhood and I can't tell you how many times someone called me 'white boy', 'cracker', 'honkey', ' milkweed', 'guero', 'gringo', etc. Even now, I don't hesitate to mix with people of different color and races. Whenever I'm around mainly hispanics, they usually speak to each other in spanish and typically don't know I can understand near every word they say. They'd probably not talk about the things they talk about if they knew the 'guero' could understand them. No, racism is alive and well and it's not the sole dominion of white people. people of all kinds and creeds have potential to be racist. And I find it every bit as racist as burning a cross on someone's front lawn for someone to insinuate that only white people have the capacity for racism or that only 'white' racism really counts as racism.. Who ever said that other people can't be racist? |

Long links stretch the page from right to left causing the reader to have to scroll right to left to read it, which might not be so bad if on top of that they didn't also have to highlight the material as well, because of the black background. Thats why he keeps saying there are 46 million "people" in America without health insurance. Notice he does not say "US citizens". It does'nt matter now who you are you get health care and treatment even if you cant pay for it. Thats good none of us want people to be sick or suffer. However as an American I do not have the "Right" to health insurance so why should some illeagal alien from Australia have that "right" here?

The majority in the center doesn't yell and scream. I agree. Though I do think it's left and right wing nuts I have seen more right wing nuts than left but to be fair I turned off the news the last couple of days. When I did have the news off for 5 months I notice how much better I felt, I think it's getting time to do the same again, and maybe even get out of here.

It would be great if we could all just follow the constitution. It is a blind document. We all have the same rights as humans no matter what race,color,gender,age ect. When we consider these things when making decisions about a person that is wrong. The only thing that should matter is a persons actions and character.
