Morning everyone, Glenda, know how you feel..I was getting some therapy on my neck and was feeling great and then the therapist gave me a really hard workout last week and I felt worse than I did when I started.. It's better now and I don't have to go back..

My second husband and I knew each other and were friends for 25 yrs before getting married.. He was a teacher and I a student in high school when we met.. We both married others, then I was divorced and his wife passed away.. Once we got together we were married 8 months later.. Married 26 yrs when he passed..

I could say the same about men that shave their hair..I think some guys look good bald..And I like guys with long hair as long as its clean and neat looking..
I cut my hair short after having my third child and had problems with my hair falling out.. A couple of years ago I wore my hair short and spiked on the top, got lots of complements from men and women.. One woman ask where I got my hair cut as she wanted to get hers that way...I prefer my hair short, I'm on the go alot and its easy to take care of...I'm in the pool all the time in the summer, blow dry and go...lol |

Growing up, dressing like the young girls do today, my dad would have grounded me for life...lol And I wasn't aloud to go to bars ( some had bands on the weekend and the kids would go to dance).. I am not into fads or very expensive clothes although I do buy some expensive shoes but that's because I have problems with my feet.. I always dress for the occasion and have my own style.. I dress for my self, am clean and neat and not out to impress anyone..

It's a day like my birthday and new year's and christmas where I get to feel crap about myself and the fact that I am single and lonely, with my life just passing me by. It's the world rubbing it in that nobody really cares about me apart from my family, as if I didn't already know that and needed to be reminded of that fact. It depresses the hell out of me. Something you may like, that I used to do was to invite all my single friends over for "Orphan's Thanksgiving." It was for everyone that didn't have family in the area to spend time with during the holiday. I'd cook a good meal, serve wine and we'd all have a fun. Much better than feeling lonely. We used to do this when I lived in AZ in the late 70's.. Lived in a small apartment complex and everyone there was from somewhere else and had no family.. First time I ever had turkey cooked on a grill...lol Everybody brought something and we ate outside by the pool, one guy even brought his guitar and we sang and had fun... Sure beats being alone on any holiday...

Good afternoon minglers , I didn't make my appt this morning... It was very windy (54mph), cold and icy...temp is 24 with windchill of 4 now..spitting snow... Hope you all have a warm and great day!!

Thunderstorms right now, raining hard... temps will drop and be in the 20's by morning... Of course, I have an appt at 11am so hope the roads are ok by then...

Betty, lots of flooding in Ohio also..and yes, too warm and melted all the snow.. Up along the lake in NE Ohio they had over a foot of snow the last couple of days and then warmed to 63..not good..
I think Jeff meant to check the seals around your windows, sometimes they dry out and crack.. So sorry to hear about the child drowning.. Prayers go out to his family..

Everyone forgets that it always takes longer to heal on the inside so no matter how good you feel or think you are healed, do as the dr orders and you will be fine... I've had 4 surgerys in the last 4 yrs, live by myself and the hardest thing I found is not being able to lift, push or pull over a certain weight (running the sweeper)...My daughter or neighbor helped me with that..
Ask your dr about walking after surgery, that really helps... and if the weather permits, get outside everyday and get some fresh air...it helps keep your lungs clear.... Good luck |
