one-armed men don't commit crimes

i was at school. When it was time for my french class, the teacher came in and told us about some plane crash in america that happened... but being about 12-13 at the time, considering that plane crashes happen a lot anyway, and being more concerned about the fact that i hated french at the time... i didn't really think much of it at that moment.

when i got home however, normal programming was interrupted and local tv and radio stations were consumed with news about what happened... it was then i realized this was a big deal. i thought some huge world war was about to happen
