Friendship

At the end of the day
When the sun sets And the lights are out, It's not the millions made, Nor the decisions past, Nor the road not taken. But the stories shared, The laughter, the tears. The heart wide open Through the good and the bad. The gift of friendship, Like the tides never ending, This is remembered At the end of the day. |

Misery holds me hostage
Between a past that cannot change And a future unforeseen. Love show the way To the present. A peace To start the day. |

Thanks, all, now if only I can figure out how to edit my photo to make it smaller. Using an iPad app so not all the options are available.

Lijiang,
Cobblestone streets Lined with small shops. Delicacies on sticks Wafting in the air. Artisans peddling wares Of ancestral heritage. Red silk lanterns hanging, Illuminating the night. The China of my dreams. Come the Chinese From the big cities. Come the European With camera in hand. Come and gather The sights and the sounds. Sense that time has stood still In the China of our dreams. |

"I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul." To triumph over darkness, 'Tis the mark of a true man To shine when there is no light, To lead the way for all to follow To see greatness. Thank you, Nelson Mandela. |

Our credit rating was lowered because of the current toxic political scene where our politicians have an ax to grind. They would rather cut their noses to spite their faces than to govern to the best of their abilities and to represent the American people and their best interest.

Wow, the mudslinging when we don't agree! I feel like I'm at a tea bagger rally!

Must have been that very flattering image of Michelle on Newsweek that did the trick.
