Cobblestone streets Lined with small shops. Delicacies on sticks Wafting in the air. Artisans peddling wares Of ancestral heritage. Red silk lanterns hanging, Illuminating the night. The China of my dreams. Come the Chinese From the big cities. Come the European With camera in hand. Come and gather The sights and the sounds. Sense that time has stood still In the China of our dreams.  |

In their many faces,,I saw all of what they live,
their skills, so easily made their crafts so fine. Watching them do this,,I thought of all they had to give. Generations of work,,all here within my walk, They were all so very friendly,,all with their broken talk. Like an alien,,,on another planet,,it was so very cool.
