Porn is like carp in a river. Its everywhere, alot of people spear fish it, but it isn't good for the lake as a whole.
I can't say I have that much against it, but I think it's too accessable. Especially for teens and such that don't need to be looking at it.

You forgot just one statistic that was recently brought to the attention of many of us folks that use usenet.

90% of the download/upload traffic is caused by 2% of the folks with computers. I, being one of that 2%, no longer have access to usenet through at&t. Bummer. I guess I have to work harder stealing peoples' passwords...lol

As for kids seeing things they shouldn't see I only have a few questions. What happened to personal responsibility? What happened to supervising your children? Do you know what an off switch is?

If you cannot supervise you children's use of the internet, t.v. or car then you shouldn't have them in my opinion. If you make the only content available suited for children then the net will be pretty empty.
