I went to a Carlin show once in 1994.
I knew he was a comedian. Saw some of his clips. We were in college and all my friends and I went. His warm up act had people rolling in the aisles. Found Carlin to be a blow hard extraordinarily liberal conservative hating man. He went on a few tirades in his show. At the end where he expected laughs you could hear crickets chirping. He bombed big time. We went to laugh, not to get a lecture on politics. Everyone without question said his warm up was worth the show, but if it was just Carlin, we would have asked for our money back. |

I think NOT. Who gives a crap if they are uncomfortable or at risk of violence... That's their problem, and Im sure when they stole our cars or raped us, or murdered us, they were being extra considerate....(us-being the general law abiding person) Who cares if they run out of beds and sleep in open spaces and under each others beds... Nope: don't care, they deserve to feel bad --- Next question. |

in this list that cancerian27 posted.... 2. Can it be cured? There is no absolute cure for bipolar illness. Most sufferers, however, can remain relatively symptom free if they comply rigidly with their medical regime, receive competent, ongoing psychotherapy by a therapist who understands the depth issues of the disorder, and adjust their lifestyle (e.g. absolutely no alcohol or non-prescription drugs). non prescription?! huh the prescription drugs are more dangerous than the alcohol..well, at least just as bad What he means here is that ANY medication or drugs of any kind will react with the bi-polar medication. There were some over the counter meds I was told to specifically stay away from. |

are you a single Parent?

I am not sure how to say this:
I guess technically I am a single father. We share custody and I have him every other week. Not sure If that qualifies for this thread. Seems everyone here is totally responsible for their kids. I think it is truly sad that the fathers are so absent in their kids lives. As far as being a father: I have found I am a better father now. I can help my son understand what it means to be a man without his mom's interference. I am so glad for that. She was starting to encourage him wearing makeup because at two he liked watching his mom put it on. She said this is the modern age. There is no difference between a boy and girl. I am so glad I can get him away from that and let him know it is ok to be a boy. While we were married, she used every feminist argument whenever I objected to her feminizing our son. I am so glad we are now father and son the way it should be. |

Just had an interview today. It went really well. I will have a second interview later this week. Nothing here yet- i've submitted more resumes and called etc ... But nothing happening:( Thanks Holly! The owner said if it were up to him I would be starting Monday. I will be talking to their accountant next. That will be cake. I'll be surprised if I don't get this job. This was the first phone call I received for an interview in two months. They had my resume for three weeks. Just finally got around to making a decision as to what they want. This will be my break out of accounting. 50/50 accounting and property management. I will keep you in my prayers. Something will break for you soon. ((((((((((Holly)))))))))) |
