I think they know more about making correct decisions in split-second time. See more foreign countries, even if dangerous. Often appreciate their families more than non-military. There's lots of plus items, but it does depend on the individual.

ITYBIT - I have been to a good pain clinic. Later took two weeks of 40 hours per week chronic pain relief at a hospital. Overseen by a psychiatrist.
Have had radio frequency ablations by ortho. I have had fibromyalgia for 40 years. I am now at a new pain clinic. Doc took away my Norco and has me on LDN (look it up) so now my pain level is at a 9 all day and all night. Narcotics for me was a half-way answer. Lyrica, neurontin, and a dozen other meds had bad side effects.... so Now i have nothing.

nothing wrong with a penpal clear across the country. However, to go for coffee, a movie or a dance you need to be within EASY drive distance. I don't mind meeting someone half way, but not going to drive more than 30 miles. So he could live 60 miles away and we could split that and drive 30 each to meet. I would need a safe room - a motel to stay overnight and be able to lock the door. He could either rent a room or drive back home. I believe almost everyone here would want a romance or even a great friendship to begin close to their home. There's not only money for gas involved in driving a long distance, there's the emotional part, if you really don't care for the person, its a waste of time to drive or fly so far. The only way to really meet and talk is SHORT distance....then let it go from there with no hard feelings.

when I was a kid, my mom mixed ashes from the fireplace with lye and lard saved when we butchered. She mixed that together and filled a 9 X 12 pan. When it hardened, she cut it into bars, and shaves off pieces into hot water to do laundry. I always had to sit on a chair to watch her, as she was afraid some lye might spill out of the kettle and eat my flesh down to the bone. It was a great soap that really cleaned clothes. if walls don't work, why do rich people insist on living in a gated community?? Why do they have walls around their property, or why do they have bodyguards ?? Someone should have let the air out of all those bus tires bringing more people to our border. We do not want their parasitic diseases, their lack of education, their cheap labor (or our own corrupt employers). We do not want to support them when we have poor people in our own country who are CITIZENS of the US of A.
