I can see both sides of the issue. However, for me I want people to know something about me. I actually use it as a means to see who is really interest in me the person.

I get a lot of stupid questioned asked that are clearly on my profile. That tells me right away they are not really interested in getting to know me the person.

I prefer to see something on a profile. It tends to tell me that a person is vested in actually finding someone to date. With that said I take care in reading a profile looking for the RED FLAGS to avoid the scammers/fake profiles. They are easy to spot for the most part. Some are a little harder than others but, are easy non the less.

I don't respond to many profiles at all. I usually just read them. I spend more time on the forums letting people get to know me and my points of views. It helps them understand me and my profile.

R2D2, I know for myself it would be nice to have a picture that is not quite so dark. Yes, like Cranky said tell us ladies more about you as a person. Be descriptive, show your personality in your profile. I have read some of your posts and think adding your personality to it would be a great advantage for you. JS

I'm looking for the cow that jumped over the moon.

When I lived up in Indiana, the winters you needed it sometimes when the roads closed down and you were stuck in your car you need it for warmth.

I have also used it several times when there have been wrecks on the road to keep the victims warm when going into shock.

Really all innocent stuff.
