You can be assured what I say is the truth and nothing more. I tell it like it is and most men/women don't really want to hear the truth of things.
I call a spade a spade. I warn people up front. I am straight forward, bold and not afraid to speak my mind. If, I think your lying. I am going to tell you I think your lying. I would like an honest and sincere exchange. If you can't handle that then pass me by and end contact now. Yes, I know it sounds harsh but, That's how I feel and I don't hide it. Either you are going to like me, Love me, or hate me. We are either going to be friends or not. If a relationship comes of it fantastic. Honesty, Integrity and Accountability are the basis of building a meaningful relationship. If you are not Honest, show integrity and accountable for your actions then no Trust or Love will ever develop. Just saying "BE HONEST FOLKS BOTH MEN AND WOMEN".

Just a side thought related to the topic... With the whole idea of having kids not an issue anymore, I really should overcome my resistance to dating older women. For some reason, I'm not comfortable with the idea yet. I only mention that because there are a number of slightly older women on Mingle that I seem to be compatible with. But even if I bit that bullet, everyone is so far away. For some reason, I have an easier time accepting the distance and the possibility of a future move when it comes to someone approximately my age or maybe younger. I don't know why I have the resistance to the idea if a woman is older. It's pretty irrational on my part. I'm just saying....I might be selling myself a bit short now. For instance, why do I still want someone my age or younger if I'm no longer looking for kids or possibly marriage? Doesn't that seem like hedging? Or is it just the programming from our society that I *must* get married and *must* have kids....even if it's not what I consciously desire anymore? You have to admit, that dilemma and those questions do link pretty well with Calista's opening question. You can also look at it another way. You may not have the desire for children in the sense of small children. However, if you have a relationship with any women she may already have kids. Are you able to accept that? Is it something you have taken into consideration? None of us are spring Chickens anymore and most of us all have children, even if they are older and on their own. You may also need to consider that you may gain not only children but, grand children all at the same time. Just something more to bounce around in that great brain of yours. |

You can be in a committed long term relationship with out all the strings.
It's easy done it for many years. It's possible. Only reason we split up was his company transferred him. We had a great relationship and are still friends now. I actually just spoke to him and his new girl friend the other day. We are still good friends. It's all about how you Love, trust, honor and respect each other. I am still friends with most of my ex boyfriends and ex husbands. |
