We only have ourselves to blame for the mess we're in. Greed is not good! That attitude is what needs to change.

I love America, and think somebody with American and Christian ideals should be president... That's what our country was founded on wasn't it??? I am not religious nor very political, just my view on what I think a person representing America should be about.... Definitely McCain all the way, and I will be repulsed if Hussein is voted in.... I'll be curious about the hand on the bible during the inauguration...

I'm just curious if you feel the same about Mahommad Ali, Hakeem Olijuwon, or Kareem Abdul Jabar?

haha bull ****

McCain tells random **** heal junior senator to take the blame for spending and like it.

RHP that is Rank Has Privilege

Funny seeing it as a campaign issue. It's the way business is done.

Yeah, I saw that one of my Senators got $144 million and the other try to outlaw it. Both are Republicans. Bet they get along really well. whoa

I also saw that Alaska's Senator got $469 million. I wonder if Sarah turned any of that down?

Good!...let the coal industry go the way of the Mom and Pop shops....I won't lose any sleep over it.

With all due respect, Krupa, I don't find a correlation between coal plants and Mom and Pop shops. Besides, the American consumers killed Mom and Pop shops because of our desire for cheaper prices and convenience. We have no one to blame for that but ourselves. flowerforyou

Obama did not say he would bankrupt the coal industry, he said those who build traditional coal plants that emitted greenhouse gases would bankrupt themselves because they would be fined. I see it as a step to encourage the production of clean energy sources which will create jobs. Who doesn't want that? flowerforyou

One of the most powerful people in America that can influence people to vote for a particular candidate doesn't belong to an Oprah, Sean Hannity, Collin Powell, Matt Damon, Hillary Clinton, and so on, it probably belongs to Joe the Plumber right about now.

I think very few people are being influenced by "Joe the Plumber." The guy is being used by the Republicans. If McCain loses, I don't expect he and Cindy or Sarah Palin to be spending much time hanging with "Joe."

Your still talking about him, must of had some effect.

Which part "very few people" did you not understand?

See, your still talking about him.

Talking about him and being influenced by him are two different things. I don't have a problem with him asking a question, I have a problem with the fact that he represented himself to be something he was not. I think that the next day when he was on "Good Morning America", he should have clarified that he is not a licensed plumber and that the question was hypothetical. I also think the McCain campaign hurt their credibility by making him "America's hero" before checking him out.
Just IMO

If we don't start paying attention, the Nation is going to get probed in a Hitler kind of way.

IF that's the way the country is heading then that's the way it will go because people love to b!tch and moan but when it comes to getting off their fat arses and doing something about it.....forget about it!

Why is it that lazy, b!tchin and griping people automatically have fat arses? Why can't we all accept that that type of arse comes in all shapes and sizes? Sorry, just takin' things a bit personal today! Been doin' it all day, darn it!flowerforyou

Except for T. Boone Pickens, everyone wants to believe that their life can be made better. Some are more willing to do their fair share to achieve that than others. The end of the world doesn't have to be a big fiery ball, it's more likely to be the end of the world as we know it. IMO

Finally a few who makes sense... I will not vote for Obama b/c he is black nor b/c he is not white, nor will I vote for McCain b/c he is white or not vote for him b/c he's not black. It's not about color it's about who can run our country and be a spokesperson for our country the BEST... I'm not really liking either choice but it's all we're being offered so I have to choose one... But ethnicity will not be my deciding factor.

Ps- Obama IS NOT Muslim... Why don't people read and research rather than slinging mud on at EITHER candidate!!!!

drinker drinker drinker

This is all people know. No one can stand up for McCain or Obama.

(The only reason i fear Obama just a little more is because of the majority of his followers i swear remind me of people following a cult. They can't explain why, the are just compelled.)

Truth is the more homework you do, the more in common you find the two candidates....

The only points on which the candidates differ are the ones that wont leave a big impact on our country...

To reimburse me $5000 a year, McCain wants to tax my employer paid health insurance benefit, never done in history. Obama wants to tax individuals earning over $250,000 a year to fund his plan. I don't know if that affects your part of the country, but it will have a BIG impact on my part of the country. There ARE quite a few differences in the two candidates.

IMO Extremists believe that 'born a Muslim, always a Muslim'. Because Obama has Muslim roots, he will always be Muslim and be compelled to side with them in a conflict, despite the fact that he, himself, believes himself to be Christian. Go figure! frown

It was not the "Town Hall" approach he was use to. He should have known better. You can't have a "Town Hall Meeting" which is debate. Mistake 1.

His second mistake. He did not come up with anything to cause the public to say, "hey wait a minute that makes sense." Instead he talked in generalities and pointed to his record.

Third mistake, he pointed to his record.

Fourth mistake, he said nothing about how long it would take to get his favorite form of energy up and running (nuclear). Instead he spoke in away that gave the impression he was going to have them sprouting up all over. Perhaps he needs to look at his own state. We have plenty of room around here for Wind Farms. Can be built faster and with less negative environmental concerns.

Exactly! flowerforyou

Fifth mistake....SNL isn't going to have as much fun. sad
