Must be a country thang...because i've never heard of a drop bear either....sounds funky though :-)

They are related to the Bunyip. Horrid things.

And Torgo would indeed want one.

He would love one, they are almost identical to a Koala, except they have fangs and eat you.

this is one of the drop bear sites, they are quiet cute

Lorena Bobbit was just doing what we were all thinking. laugh
what How is it right to take something {his penis} that don't belong to you.

Hmm well technically I think my mans penis belongs to me, so if he tries to give it to someone else it is my duty to take it back, so cutting it off wouldnt seem like a bad ideathink

But as for cheating, I never expected my husbands to cheat

But for me it was easier to smile and keep on going

The new ads ya'll are sporting...."We don't want young guys....we want you"

I didn't actually click on it....but, I am letting you know right off the bat that two of those photos are from straight up hardcore mature sites....

do a search on "Deaux Ma"..images....(she has been a favorite of mine for years)

I am cool with it...just struck me as odd that after schitt canning the sex threads for advertising revenue, that you kids are advertising one of my most favorite and enthusiastic porn stars.

Figured you guys may wanna know.

But for me it was easier to smile and keep on going, not because I was coping better, just because there is no point looking back.
So I picked myself up, took my kiddies and made a new happy life. It's always easier to move on if you can leave the rubbish behind.

I think that we all cope differently but male and female both end up hurt.

Excuse me, it is obvious I am the boss. When you have a strong willed child they fight for control from the moment they are born. Unless you have experienced an ODD child you will never understand.

You are right...I will never understand.....

They didn't invent "ODD", "ADD", "ADHD"....till I was 30.

Before that, it was a good kid or a bad kid.

Put it on drugs....seems to be a popular alternative.

Yep, they tend to hand drugs out pretty easily.

They tried to label one of my boys with all of these stupid letters and wanted him to be on some drug. His only problem was that he was into everything, couldnt sit still or concentrate for long and seemed to constantly be into some sort of mischief or hurting himself.
I couldnt put him on medication, but did have to be very firm with him, yep and he did have his behind smacked.
but at 16 he is a genious with fising anything eletrical or mechanical, he can problems solve, he just cant sit still or stay out of mischief.
But he is also the most active and entertaining of all my children.

He also still gets the most warnings and has the biggest boundries in place.

Skype is very much like video communications from Star Trek....

and yes, the potential for "cool" is there....but, there is a reason it ain't ever gonna be a smash hit.

Bad hair days

....on Star Trek...no one has a bad hair day, or a giant pimple, or kids screaming in the back ground or the house looking like a disaster.

I have Skyped twice.....yeah, it was pretty cool.

Then I read an article on "Wired Magazine" about how easy it is for someone to activate your webcam without your knowledge....

I unplugged my web cam and will never plug it in again....hence...no more Skype for me.

Oh bummer.
Did you have to tel me that Kruppa, I talk to all my family on skype and the kids freinds all have access to us. Now who is looking at menoway

I am totally up to here with North America and the unwritten puritanic sexual laws of the land on who can do it with whom.

This is funny. A realization occurred to me: Unwritten laws are more binding than the written ones.

Say: Canada or the USA has written laws, in the legal books. So do European countries and Australia.

And all of those have unwritten laws.

My point is that the unwritten laws get broken at a much lower rate than the written ones.

For instance, take thieving. In most societies, thieving is punishable by law. And the statistics are easily taken; the annals of courts keep them.

There are approx. the same ratio of thieves to non-thieves in ALL western-type democratic societies. If there is one theft for 100 people, and one rape for 10,000 people, and one terorrist act for each 1,000,000 people in a population, like in that of England, then the same ratios will exist in America, in Japan, in Australia.

However. In North America the unwritten rule is to follow the rules of the bible. In matters of morality.

In Europe and in Australia there is less of a pressure to follow Biblical moral rules.

And thus, if in North America 1 husband cheats on his wife, out of every 10,000 husbands, then in Europe 2 husbands cheat on their wives, out of every three husbands.

The unwritten law is more binding; it garners more compliance. The laws of the courts are adhered to by people in a lesser compliance rate than the laws of morality, which is established by a concensus which is shaped by, and is constantly in flux in a society; and yet those unwritten laws are surprisingly stagnant and constant over very long periods of time.

I think your word is law, at least in the country, if you shake on it, it is done..

 Your a great bloke Wux,
You would fit right in. Are you sure you don't want to come down under.

I really don't know how to answer that. I am totally up to here with North America and the unwritten puritanic sexual laws of the land on who can do it with whom.

It's a toss-up between four places to go to: England, for the accent, south Africa, for the accent, France, for their love of poetry and philosophy, or Australia, for their accent and absolutely fantastic-looking women.

Now. English women are usually free-thinkers, they don't give that much hoot to what society expects of them, and since this is how most of them are, society stopped expecting anything of them; therefore nothing they do surprises anyone. They are free, and they know it.

French women are stubbly and mustachy, but full of real charm. I don't know how they do it. A French woman appears in the room, and she is charm personified. Even if she is bitter. French women know how to mix charm with being dutiful. They are hard workers, and most of their charm is also shining through their industrious attitude.

South African women have big teeeets and sexy accents.

Australians... oh, my. I have never seen a visually unbecoming woman from Down Under. They are brilliant, too, under the bright sunlight, with their creamy white, pale white, chalk white, or perhaps freckled skins. They are completely out of their element in terms of climate and geography, and that in turn brought out of them the element of freedom, not giving too much hoot about what people on other continents would say about their attitudes and behaviour.

I think I like a woman who is free; she has the freedom of choice, the freedom thought, the freedom of self-expression, the freedom from constantly having to make moral judgements over others. The freedom to think for herself, the freedom to know she doesn't need to dominate men to become equal with those men. Australian women have that certain self-assurance and calm, relaxed readiness, which inner strength only can give to someone.

You see sometimes a heated argument on the street; and a huge, big man, with huge muscles shows up. He emanates calmness, and people calm down in an instant. He is not hurried, he speaks in a quite voice, he is cool. He is cool because he knows he has not got to prove anything to anyone, and least of all to himself.

So this is how Aussie women strike me. They are cool; they are hot; they know their own strength, and they know they don't need to prove anything to anyone.

---------------

I think I'll die in Canada, though. Why not? Why be happy in the short little while of my existence on this planet? then I'll curse myself for having wasted almost sixty years in the wrong place.

No, I won't move. Not that I am happy here or something. No, I am not happy. But maybe happiness is not where it's at.

GAAAAAAA!!!! I AM STARTING TO SOUND LIKE A MORALIZING NORTH AMERICAN!!! If I don't watch myself carefully, next I'll know I'll be thumping a bible against some pulpit in some small-town-Canada evangelist prayer house.

Geeez, they put you throgh the wringler, don't they, until you conform.

And then I'd go to Aussie and I would feel I was in the wringler, to press and sqeeze out all the penned-up broomsticks form my lower intestines. You see, one of the biggest restrctions in life is to be free. You need to think yourself every turn, what is good by YOU, by your own feelings, because there is nobody to tell you THIS is good, and THAT is wrong. In America people have been told that for too long, and now they can't think at all for themselves. This is a tragedy. Not because they are sheep and their minds are helpless putty in the big hands of their propaganda machine; well, that too, okay, that's bad too. But the biggest tragedy comes from how women of America are although pretty, yet still captive birds in the golden cage of the immature and childish, but almighty moralism of Norht American Puritanism.

I think I will have to print this out to remind myself how wonderful I amtongue2
I love being Australian, I love that I grew up without many boundries, that I was as good as everyone.
I love that it doesnt matter who you are what you have or where you live, the only thing that matters is who you are.
I am not judged because i drive the wrong car or don't want to mix with the right people, cause frankly who cares.

My life is mine to do as I please and people either like it or lump it no worries either way.

The fact is that we are all the same and we all have the same chance to be whoever we want to be. I don't think that here there is really much that can hold you back , except yourself..

So yep I am proud to be Aussie, I wouldnt change it for the world.. You could come and visit, we can have an Aussie mingle meet.

Hi Josie.... I read your job posting for Australia...Is it mandatory that the person be single to apply?
please let me know.

I think he needs to be single, happy, apply, and horny.

Why do you think all these Aussies who are cajouling men to mine in Australia, are all women?

Plus, the mining companies they name don't even exist.

It's all part of a big hoax to invite men to that Down Under continent to keep these wonderful and pretty ladies happy!! Can't you guys see this? Don't you have eyes? Have you NEVER heard the expression "conspiracy theories"? For Crhissakes.

Women want miners, because those are strong, well built guys. Whether there are mines there or not, is a completely different and rather very unimportant issue. The one issue that counts here is that if you are young, male, strapping, you are wanted. So shut up and just go there already. If not for your own sake, then for the good of god, women and the country.

I highly doubt Josie is gonna trick us with scam links. I even checked the link myself, and I can confirm it's legit. Especially not when she comes here often and speaks to many of us. A scam is much more likely to come from someone who hardly posts in the forums. Scammers never post in forums.. Maybe once in a blue moon, but for a regular forum member to do that? Nah. There's a good reason why I would trust forum members much more than people who don't post in them.

Just be careful, when I posted this I thought it was a great ide, but I didnt research it all, I didnt even think that there may be people who would take money from anyone.

So be careful, research before you do anything, find the companies that need people, we have more workers flown in daily.
Any company will talk to you before hiring you, it will not all be done by email and the mining locations and sites are well documented.
And over here nobody will care if ring to find out if they are real, just let them know that you are just checking up before filling in any applications.

There are a few sites that have jumped on board the mining boom industry and charge a fee for advice on how to obtain work in the mines...it's everywhere on the internet. I guess one just has to use some common sense and be well informed when looking around.

The idea that Josie brings to this thread is more for information and an idea to open up options rather than limit oneself. The only thing she may be guilty of is providing a dodgy link. But the idea remains genuine.

Btw...Inpex is the global company heading the mining boom in the Territory.

I've never heard of a company called Australia Mining.

Bummer, can someone remove the thingy on the top then. I did think it was a good idea as there seems to be so many people on mingle having trouble with work,
We are so lucky here. My 15 year old was offered an apprenticship as an electrician, my 17 year old has a good steady job anyone who wants work can find it..

if you are interested please be careful, but there are heaps of real jobs here and companies who want people, but as far as I know nobody who has come over has had to pay money to the company to get here.

All you need is a genuine desire to work and succeed.

Kinda pizzes me off when i hear people moan about not having a job, yet won't do anything to get up off their azzes to look for work, or look for pathetic excuses not to work. Everybody who is capable can find something...

Honestly here, if you are not working it is because you choose not to. In our motel we employ workers from overseas. Not because it is cheaper, simply because we cannot find Australian workers.

that is not the case here though

there are an abundance of people seeking work, something like five for every possible ADVERTISED opening,,,that means at least 80 percent wont HAVE a job unless they are in a network to HEAR about positions and have the right references

than there is location, and credit, and past work history and all the other criteria that go into hiring here in america

I know, I really had no idea how many people can actually live in one place until I headed over to America, it seemed awful hard to be free when so many people seemed to struggle just to make ends meet.
I had pictured a country pretty much the same as ours, in some ways it is, but because of the population it makes life a lot harder if you are not well off.
It seemed like people where working soooo many hours just to make ends meet.

I didn't finish school, have no certificates yet can walk into a good job easily here.
But if I moved to America, I wouldnt be employable.noway

Unemployment is high here to in the UK, around 8% or nearly 3 million people, sadly, 1 million of those are young people below 24. It is good to hear of job opportunities, so at least people are made aware of them, even if moving to another country is not for them. My daughter and her husband, and with two very young children, made the
move 8 years ago to Perth, WA, and I am very pleased to say they are making a successful new life for themselves, and are very happy living in Australia.

Here is an interesting statistic which I found very surprising, the total population of all Australia is approximately 23 million people. No wonder they need workers.

In the UK we have a total population of approximately 62 million.

That is our main problem, it's not that we can't do the work, there just are not enough of us.
The state I livein is two and a half times the size of Texas and we only have just over 200 thousand people in the whole state.

The majority of our people live in the 5 main cities,

I might look into it. I've always dreamed of living in Victoria, Melbourne. It just looks so relaxing. I wouldn't mind the constant noise of crickets first thing in the morning. It just attracts me way much. I know it may not be all sun and fun, because life has up's and down's, but I'm only human. Might aswell take my dream and run with it :)

I have only been through Melbourne when I was catching planes, it's way to busy for me, heaps of people.
We move to Tasmania in December, we are heading to America for a few months and then going to Tassie on the way back, it will be a huge change as their summers are not as hot as our winters, if you ever head over, you are welcome to come down and drop in.
