i've been friendly to people here and have got a whole bunch of replies
and messages.

i'm sure it'll work for you too.

let's put it this way from the guy's point of view.

if you like the person (i'm assuming that why you invited them out in
the first place), you should do the right thing and pay.

if your date protests, it shows that they're thoughful and you should
pay anyway.

an evening of weird entertainment is hard to come by these days.

my secret is that i've very attuned to smell.

you can't imagine the number of people who smell bad, either because of
their body odour or their breath.

it's a definite turn-off and even if they look really good or have a
sparkling personality, if they have a bad smell, it just kills it for
me.

i think there's always a fine balance between a chick flick and what the
guy's interested in.

I was quite a heavily counterstrike and warcraft 3 player (and sometimes
spent way too much time on battle.net when i should be working on my
internet marketing project).

horror is something that i've never gotten into. it creeps me out after
i watch something particularly disturbing like 'the ring' or the
exorcist and i'm constantly looking behind my back for the next 2 weeks!

sci-fi: yeah, i really liked the starwars, babylon5 and j michael
straczinski (ok i probably misspelled it), xfiles, millenium, joss
whedon (does buffy count as horror?) stuff. never really into star trek,
though i watch enterprise and bits of ST:TNG, and liked the concept of
the Borg.

i was quite heavily into japanese manga and anime too.
my favourites there would likely be the bubblegum crisis/crash series,
grey: digital target, sol bianca, and the masamune shirow stuff like
appleseed, dominion, etc.

excuse me if this is greek to you.
