Feeling ready for a vacation

NTS - Change "Do Not Disturb" settings on my phone to include blocking work contacts on my day off.

Thinking first my boss tries to call me in on my only day off, and then tries asking me to work a split double tomorrow morning.

Um....sorry, boss. I'm already working 73 hours this week, and that would be 2 weekends in a row with 3 doubles in a row. I like money, but not so much that I want to be working 80 hour weeks.

I already have food I have to throw out because I'm never home to actually eat it. I have laundry that needs doing. Cleaning to be done. Bills that I need time to pay before they're actually due. Phone calls to return. Etc.

In short, I have a life outside of work too.

Who's knocking on my door?!?!

I like classical music, but never seem to have the time to listen to it anymore.

Thinking about what to do tomorrow with my friends.

Whether weather withers.

Thinking my paychecks are going to be looking small once all this overtime ends.

I don't like cities. Never have.

I would never do anything like that. Nor would I ever do that 90 Day Fiance one. And I certainly wouldn't put all that on t.v.

As a result, I refuse to watch those shows.

On the other hand, there used to be a show for established couples who were heading into marriage but were still struggling with a few issues. The show provided them with a vacation in a suitable place for both, and gave them access to several counselors and wedding planners. It provided activities for them to learn more about each other and to potentially become closer to each other.

That's the kind of show I would watch - people who are already in an established long-term relationship who are just trying to work through their troubles in a positive manner before they actually take the big leap.

It had very little drama, though sometimes couples did have increased conflict that prompted calling off the engagement. It seemed more educational to me than the drama-laden shows.

Finally got to visit my buddy, Lem. While at the store, we unexpectedly ran into my friend Heather whom I haven't seen in nearly 3 years.

NTS - Hope for rain, not snow! A weekend snowstorm is not what you want when working back-to-back doubles in this job. It could turn into one big 40 hour shift by mandate!
